IF YOU HAVE RECEIVED A DUI CALL MR. LAWSON!!! I am a former military service member and currently a Federal Employee with a security clearance. I was pulled over in Georgia, arrested refused the breath analyzer, and was charged with DUI. I found Mr. Lawson’s website, which had many outstanding review...s and gave him a call. Mr. Lawson was professional and courteous and guided me throughout the entire ordeal. He really takes his job serious and he sincerely cares about his client’s well-being. Richard Lawson is a friendly and personable guy, but that’s not the reason you should hire him when you really need a good lawyer -- Mr Lawson is a VERY competent attorney, and truly knows his stuff. .I was arrested at a DUI checkpoint while visiting the Atlanta area last summer. This would have been my second DUI offense, but Mr. Lawson was able to get the charges reduced to reckless driving and I received no probation or community service. The negative impact to my life had I been convicted o...f a second DUI would have been staggering. Not only did Richard Lawson and his very capable associate get my DUI reduced to reckless driving with parole, but he did something that I didn't think was possible. I was stopped for a moving violation recently. The police arrested me because they showed my driver's license had been suspended. His a...ssociate; who handled my DUI case, was going to a court case at the time of my arrest. She immediately got me in contact with Richard and explained what had happened to me. Richard pulled my file and made phone calls confirming all paperwork had been filed correctly by his office and also by the court; which should have prevented my license from getting suspended. The State of GA DDS; failed to status my driving record correctly. Not only is he knowledgeable and professional, but truly cares about what is right and wrong. The thought of one of his clients (me) being arrested in error started the wheels in motion. I do not know how he did it, but he got the state to correct their admitted error and reactivate my license, within a few hours of my initial call! He told me he wasn't a "Superman", but I disagree. AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! I am strapped for money and that was music to my ears. He told me he wanted to make this right; even though his law office did everything correctly. By the state making such an error, it has caused me more lost time at work, and a lot of stress that I don't need. On top of all of this, he personally made the trip to the local police department that had arrested me for my DUI to ensure there would be no parole violation warrant issued against me. I am divorced with two kids and two jobs. Saying that Richard and his associates have gone beyond the call of duty is the understatement of the year! You cannot get any type of help unless someone answers their phone and that is something that Richard and his associates are very good at doing. If they can't answer the phone, they return calls quite promptly. There are not enough thank yous for what Richard and his team have done for me; but I will say it anyway... THANK YOU!
