After doing some thorough research on the best DUI lawyers in GA, I chose Richard. I called Richard the day after my charge and he guided me through the entire process hand and foot from there. Him and his associate attorney, Jaime, were available 24/7 and responded to any question I had instantly wh...ether it be through email, text or over the phone. I had never been in any situation like this before and was by no means very familiar with how the legal system operates. Richard couldn’t have been more professional and made it all easy to understand by explaining everything to me very succinctly and straightforward. Before my court date I had another traffic incident that could have very easily violated my driving permit and result in my license being suspended. The officer involved had mishandled my citation and Richard spoke with her supervisor the next day and got it all resolved immediately. The court date was set for after my DUI hearing so that my permit would not be violated and I was able to continue driving. Richard was ultimately even able to get the citation dropped altogether as part of my DUI plea deal. Due to COVID, my court hearing was supposed to be done virtually over zoom but Richard had never heard back from the prosecutor providing the link. Richard called me the day before my original court date letting me know he had not heard from the prosecutor and was going to go talk with him before court the next morning. I met him at the courthouse that morning and by the time I had arrived Richard had already spoken with the prosecutor and negotiated a plea deal to get my DUI charge reduced to reckless driving. This was the best possible outcome in my case. Following my incident, I expected the DUI charge to upend my life but thanks to Richard this couldn’t have been further from the case. My life was able to proceed uninterrupted as if the incident had never happened while Richard handled everything for me behind the scenes. Now my record is still clean and there are no extenuating circumstances affecting my professional life. As a former ADA and DUI prosecutor, Richard simply has the knowledge, foresight, and relationships other attorneys don’t. Underage DUI & speeding of 95 in 35 zone = JAIL time.
