I am the one that wrote the review for Ken on October 23, 2017. My previous experiences with him were all positive, so I will not change what I wrote. I respected him as a lawyer and always showed him kindness. When he suffered the loss of his wife, I sent him a heartfelt letter to give him my condol...ences. I wanted to encourage him and tried my best to uplift his spirit. When he asked, I wrote a review for him and made it public to show him my appreciation for all that he had done for me. After my father died in 2022, I thought Ken would be a great resource for advice. To my surprise, he said he didn't remember me, or even believe that he ever handled my case. Even though it hurt, I maintained my composure and spoke to him about my father's complex situation when he asked. My father passed away from multi-organ failure amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic. What makes his case so complex is the inhumane treatment he received from the staff at a well-known hospital in Atlanta, GA. Sadly, Ken wasn't willing to listen to me discuss those details. His prejudice against individuals who opted not to receive vaccination led him to hang the phone up on me mid-conversation. He gave me no opportunity to respond to his opinion. I never disrespected him in the entire conversation, but this is how he treated me. Here's what I find so sad about all this: 1. He did not witness the atrocities my mom and I witnessed. 2. He did not face the discrimination and intense hatred my mom and I faced in that hospital. 3. He rejected my story entirely and was quick to judge my father’s situation before inquiring for more information. So, as of October 1, 2024, I cannot and will not recommend this lawyer to any family for anything because of his choice to not listen. I feel obligated to the people to update my review on this page when my views no longer align with what I wrote in 2017.

Ken and his assistant Christine were gracious, sweet and understanding of me and my case, be it small. It did take a little longer than I expected but once Christine came into the picture, things went smoothly and rather quickly. They made sure to answer any questions I had, and made sure I understoo...d all the details of the case. Best of all, they kept me up to date with all the details regarding hospital bills, my insurance company, and what not. Overall I think they did an amazing job and I highly recommend them to everyone!!

God led me to this office and may I tell you, God NEVER FAILS! I sustained a terrible brain injury that GREATLY altered my life but by the Grace of God, I fo...und a New Life! Ken Shigley was referred to me by a member of my church after my daughter was killed in an automobile accident. She pulled out in front of a tractor trailer and he ran into her passenger door which killer her on impact. The truck was going a little over the speed limit but she was still at fault. Ke...n was still able to get a settlement for her children. Ken is a great attorney and he actually cares about his clients.
