Veletri Drug Held Case Review One Year

Consulted Robert Hammers back October 2018 regarding the prescribed use of a drug on my daughter called Veletri and the doctors failure to inform us that he was going to use this drug and the horrible severe complications which contributed to the death of my 48 year old daughter. Mr. Robert Hammers w...as consulted and began to start the process of acquiring my daughter's medical records. I called the law office of Mr. Hammers over the passed year to only speak with his office manager. He was placed mostly out of the state on cases. Mr. Hammers did not return my phone calls for the course of this year. Finally, on October 14, 2019, Mr. Robert Hammers, Jr. called me to tell me that this case in his review because bedsores would be difficult and too costly for him to pursue and he could reap successful results. I would not recommend him and his firm.

Just Do Your Research

I wish I had done my research while dealing with this lawyer. Never really had a good feeling about the work he was doing or him as a person. I was not prepared for my deposition. He never did a deposition on any of the other people involved. At mediation both times he say nothing he just agreed wi...th them. The mediator just talked about race cars. He told me that my case wasn’t important enough to him. My lawyer just sat there on his laptop. I looked at the docket report for Cobb county and he literally had done nothing but took leave of absence him and the defense lawyers. Every time it got close to trial they took leave of absence. How ironic. He will say one thing and do another. When I asked him about it he said “me and the defense already worked it out.” He would tell me things to try to scare me into settling like “ you are a black man going up against an all white jury in Cobb county so you might not win.” He always told me it’s a business. Then he brought my wife in only to try to get her to convince me to settle. I thought he wanted to see how he could help her. I was wrong. We both saw right through that. He is very transparent in a bad way. I read online “how do you know if your lawyer is bad?” He fit about 7/10 descriptions. I end up trying to fire him only realize I couldn’t because of the contract. I hired another who told me “ this lawyer has not done anything to help you out.” One lawyer told me if he had to guess, “I think your lawyer and the defense is working together” I always thought that. So when I went back I was very upset because I felt like I was in a no win situation. He acted like he took me back because it was the right thing to do. He took me back because it’s a business. One lawyer told yeah “they fu@ked you man” So I settled just so l wouldn’t have to deal with his BS. Not trustworthy at all. I wouldn’t not recommend this attorney at all especially for black people. If you need a good honest and a lawyer who cares and not driven by money contact Kevin Ford.
