Kelly helped me with my recent divorce. There were some complicated issues involving premarital retirement assets. She took the time and effort to fully understand my situation and was an excellent advocate on my behalf. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone going through a divorce.
I have a "high conflict" relationship with my ex. I have been through more legal filings in the last 9 years than I care to discuss. I have been through more "top notch", so called "super lawyers" in the city of Atlanta/Cobb county (in effort to keep up with my ex) than anyone should ever have to experience. I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars, and until I found Shiel Edlin and Kelly Reese, I have been on a merry-go-round going nowhere. I had practically given up all hope until my ex attorney recommended the firm of Stern & Edlin to me. Yes, you read that correctly, my ex attorney's recommendation. For the first time in 9 years I have the most competent, caring representation I could ask for. I don't know how things will turn out, but Kelly is giving it her all! Kelly and Shiel have made a huge difference in my case in a short time, and they truly have my daughter's best interest at heart. I cannot recommend them enough. Shiel Edlin is like the Hercules of Atlanta lawyers, but I am writing about Kelly in particular because she has gone above and beyond for my daughter and me. I have the greatest respect and utmost appreciation for Kelly as an attorney and as a human being. I never write reviews. I'm never this impressed. I'm writing this because Kelly deserves it, and because there will be another desperate parent who is going to stumble across this review when they too are in need of the best. There really are lawyers out there that have exceptional skills, savvy, and will fight for you and your family. Kelly is that lawyer. She is a true diamond in the rough . I tell her all the time that she is a "super star" and I mean it!
Divorce and Separation; Child Support; Child Custody and Parenting Time; Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements; Enforcement of Prior Domestic Orders
I graduated cum laude from the University of Florida in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. I later obtained my law degree from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in December of 2007, and was admitted the practice law in Georgia in 2008.
During my time in law school, I participated as a Children's Fellow through the Center on Children and Families. I later developed my passion for family law by volunteering at a domestic violence clinic and a pro se divorce clinic, before working in private practice.
I have exclusively practiced family law since obtaining my bar membership in the State of Georgia. Before joining my current firm, Stern & Edlin, I practiced family law at the Law Offices of Pamela L. Tremayne, and at Callner, Portnoy & Strawser, P.C.
I am very passionate about practicing family law and I believe in providing support, understanding, advocacy and counseling to each client.

A Lawyer who Cares!
Kelly Reese is no longer with Callner, Portnoy & Strawser. I highly recommend Kelly and support her decision to move on. She showed compassion and was thorough when others failed to do so.

"Kelly was on the opposing side of a very difficult and contentious case from me. I was impressed with her ability to be an utmost professional while still advocating tirelessly on behalf of her client."
