HOWARD JARRETT WEINTRAUB: RESCUED MY GRANDSON
Howard Jarrett Weintraub rescued my grandson from having a felony conviction on his record and his fee was very reasonable to have my grandson come out of his criminal prosecution without a felony on his record.
My grandson was stopped by the county police for a broken tail light. The officer searched his car and found a small amount of marijuana and an unmarked bottle of narcotic controlled substance pills. My grandson did not know the bottle of pills was in his car. My husband was a chronic pain sufferer and carried a bottle of his pain medicine with him at all times. He carried his pain medicine in an unmarked bottle due to past experiences with having his medicine stolen. My grandson, his daughter and my husband had been to a store and rather than carry the medicine into the store, my husband put the bottle in the glove box of my grandson’s car. My husband forgot (which was not out of character for him) to remove the bottle when they returned home.
My grandson was indeed guilty of possessing the marijuana (a misdemeanor), but he was not guilty of possessing the controlled substance pills. The controlled substance pills would have created a felony on my grandson’s record and he was charged with having the unmarked bottle of controlled substance pills in his possession. Because of Howard’s quick thinking and perseverance that did not happen.
At first, the prosecutor would not agree to dismiss the felony charge. Howard, however, worked with my grandson and instructed my husband to get a prescription list from his pharmacy and Howard had him write a statement for the court stating that the medication belonged to him, explaining why the bottle was left in my grandson’s car and explaining why he had them in an unmarked bottle. Because of Howard’s attention to details and his plan of action the felony charge was dismissed and my grandson does not have a felony on his record.
Although Howard Weintraub handles many major federal prosecutions throughout the country and defends many people for serious charges such as murder, drugs, sexual offenses, etc., Howard treated my case as if we were his only client. Every phone call to him was promptly and courteously answered in a very timely manner.
As we left the courtroom, several people commented to my grandson and to me that we had made a wise decision in choosing Howard Weintraub to represent my grandson in his case.
I highly recommend Howard Jarrett Weintraub and I will be forever very thankful that he handled my grandson’s case.
    God bless you Howard.
    Thank you Howard.

  • HOWARD WEINTRAUB: THE MOST PROFESSIONAL, CARING AND COMPASSIONATE ATTORNEY THAT I HAVE KNOWN.

I have known Howard Weintraub both as an employee and as a client. In both experiences, he has been the most professional, caring and compassionate attorney that I have known. In the winter of 2012, my son was in the hospital for having been stabbed by his girlfriend. He was in the hospital's area where patients who are going to be sent to jail are housed. I called Howard in a panic because my son was accused of a crime he did not commit and he was hurt badly in addition. Howard went to the hospital and spoke with my son, eventually managing to get the charges dropped.
It was a terrifying experience for my family but Howard was there to walk us through the process, answer all our questions and quiet our fears.
I have worked for many attorneys and I have never worked for someone who is as brilliant, compassionate and productive as Howard. He works tirelessly for every client, researching and examining every aspect of their cases. His outcomes are amazing because of the diligent work of Attorney Weintraub and his staff.
Howard is highly ethical, knowledgeable, trustworthy and responsible for giving you the best representation money can buy.
If you hire Attorney Weintraub you can be assured that you are with the very best attorney.

HOWARD WEINTRAUB IS AN ATTORNEY WITH RESOLUTENESS, ENDURANCE AND INTESTINAL FORTITUDE
A very close friend of mine recently was charged with criminal offenses in Georgia and he retained attorneys Howard Jarrett Weintraub and Benjamin Black Alper to represent him. During the course of the case, I came to know Howard very well and it became clear to me that Howard and Ben did a phenomenal job representing their client. The case was extremely challenging because of the personalities of the defendant and the State’s witnesses, including the alleged victim in the case. From first-hand knowledge of observing Howard in his office during his never-ending laborious trial preparation, as well as observing him in the courtroom during an evidentiary hearing, I certainly can attest herein to the resoluteness, endurance, and intestinal fortitude of Howard when it comes to representing his clients. I highly recommend Attorneys Howard Weintraub and Benjamin Alper to anyone in need of tough, yet compassionate, criminal defense lawyers.

  • ATTNY HOWARD WEINTRAUB HAS PROVIDED UNWAVERING LEGAL ASSISTANCE/ADVICE OVER THE PAST 4 YEARS WITHOUT EVER ASKING FOR 1 PENNY!

As always, all of the staff at the Law Offices of Howard J. Weintraub are extremely professional. I must, however, single out one in particular who “voluntarily” worked exceptionally hard for my son’s case functioning through countless hours for 4 years while including us in his work schedule and coming to the aid for my son and I without asking for a single penny!
    This is “Howard Weintraub.”
My belief is that Mr. Weintraub holds firmly to the conviction that if it is worth doing, it is worth doing it right. It is fair to say that without his assistance, I wouldn’t have known what to do; this was in October, 2010.
At the time we could not retain Mr. Weintraub as our family attorney due to financial issues; but that didn’t stop him from donating an unlimited amount of concern and energy for my son’s case.
His unwavering assistance during our time of need have left a profound effect on me and my family and have restored faith in Humanity.
Thank you for your outstanding support!

  • A GREAT CRIMINAL LAWYER AND A CIVIL LITIGATOR TOO

I had a civil matter relating to a large amount of money that I was being forced to relinquish. I began researching lawyers who informed me I was dealing with a civil matter. I came upon Howard J Weintraub and though I recognized he was a Criminal Defense Attorney, and knew that my situation was a civil one, I nonetheless contacted Attorney Weintraub to determine if he could help me. I felt vulnerable and afraid that I would have to return the money. He agreed to review the information, contacted the Attorneys handling the situation, and advised me what documents to send, proving that I was not involved and should not be placed at risk. Mr Weintraub followed up with a letter outlining the reasons I should not be part of this and instructed the Attorneys not to contact me again--that anything further, would go through his firm. It has been over two years and they have not contacted me again. I am grateful I found Mr. Weintraub. He made a potentially devastating problem go away. Not only is he a great Criminal Defense Lawyer, but a Civil one too. Thank you. A Grateful Client

Mr Howard was my attorney in a case this past summer. I had an immediate need for an attorney at the most inconvenient time - on 4th of July. My friends and I combined called over 20 law offices and Mr Howard was the only one to respond immediately to the call. He not only agreed to meet the next day but also drove all the way from Alabama to Georgia to meet in person. It is very impressive to see this kind of commitment to the client and the profession. I was very satisfied with his advice throughout my case and would highly recommend his services to anyone in need of a qualified law professional.

  • OUR FAMILY IS SO GRATEFUL TO HAVE HOWARD and BEN ON OUR SIDE!

This summer, we called Howard Weintraub on behalf our teenage son. It was a holiday weekend, but we were frantic for answers and information. We were at a loss at what to do. After reading so many positive reviews online, I called Mr. Weintraub’s answering service early on a Sunday morning not expecting a call for days. Despite that it was a holiday weekend, Mr. Weintraub, on hearing our case, reached out to us shortly on that early Sunday morning and spoke with us. Immediately, I knew that we had reached the right lawyers! The team of Howard Weintraub and Benjamin Alper are the best! Howard and Ben listened carefully to our son’s situation. They understood our concerns and reassured us that they would work hard to have his case dropped. It was immediately transparent from our first meeting that not only is Mr. Weintraub a personable and compassionate person, but very professional in the courtroom as well. Mr. Alper was proactive in the court and excellent in working with us to make sure all our questions were answered. Most importantly we appreciate the time both Howard and Ben took to thoroughly explain and educate our son on the process. During each step, they reached out to us with care to make sure that we were all well prepared. They are wonderful advocates! We are so very grateful to Howard Weintraub and Ben Alper for all they did to have our son’s case dismissed. Our family highly recommends them and can’t say enough at how happy are that we called their office that day!

  • TRUE DEDICATION FOR HIS CLIENT

Howard & Ben have been very good in communicating with me about my case which is about to go to federal trial next week. I must say that it was a proof of true dedication to his client in that Howard called me multiple times on his own birthday just recently and must have spent half of his Sunday during his birthday preparing for my case. He called multiple times even though it was a holiday weekend and has continually worked hard on my case. He has called the U.S. attorney multiple times to support my case and defend me. He has also caught hidden details that were hard to find in support of my case. There are few other lawyers that will show this type of intense dedication above and beyond the call of duty on a holiday weekend. I recommend him highly because Howard & Ben are truly the best attorneys someone can have if they have criminal charges.

In 2011, our son was killed, just because he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.....it was a senseless act of homicide that didn't need to happen. Howard and his partner, Ben, got involved to help us get justice for our son. We filed a lawsuit and won a large amount of money. Howard knows the law and he knows how to help you. He is also sympathetic and caring. Nothing will bring back our son, but the wrongdoers were made to pay for what they did. We will forever be grateful to Howard and to Ben.

i called this lawyer to see if i can set up consultation with him. This lawyer was extremely rude and said i am not interested in this case and hung up the phone. He called me back and appologized and said i can represent you and it will cost a lot of money, he asked me where i work and he will represent me if i can pay him upfront. he sounded very rude and like he would use his client in a minute all for money.

Howard J. Weintraub’s response: “To have this person represent that he has posted a “client” review of me is a gross mischaracterization, as he never was a client of my firm. Indeed, the entire extent of my interaction with this person was two telephone conversations with a combined duration of less than ten minutes. Even more significantly, this person has distorted and misrepresented what occurred during his two brief telephone conversations with me. I, therefore, feel it is important for me to set forth below what actually transpired with this person: This gentleman called my firm on November 13, 2014, seeking representation in a shoplifting case and wanting to speak with an attorney at that moment. When my assistant advised this caller that I was consumed at that time with trial preparation for an upcoming two-week long federal court criminal case jury trial (wherein my client is facing up to 240 months if convicted), he nonetheless insisted with my assistant that he speak with me. My assistant was having a difficult time with this caller and was sounding flustered. She, therefore, interrupted my trial preparation asking me to speak with him. I briefly spoke with this man and advised him that I appreciated his interest in my firm but my court schedule was such that I could not take on his case. Although the call ended, within one or two minutes I decided to call this person back because he seemed very distressed. I asked him about the court scheduling of his shoplifting case so as to determine if perhaps I could be available to represent him. After briefly reviewing with this person the facts of his alleged shoplifting charge and learning that his court date was in January, 2015 (and, therefore, not in conflict with my federal case pre-trial preparation schedule and also after the anticipated completion of my federal case) I told him that I was available to take on his case. I told him that our strategy in representing him, should he decide to hire us and become our client, would be to try to have his case placed in a pre-trial diversion program with the eventual expungement of his arrest record. I told him that I was available to meet with him in my office on Sunday, November 16, 2014 (as I had other work commitments previously scheduled for Friday and Saturday). I also quoted him our standard misdemeanor/shoplifting representation fee. He then abruptly hung up on me. I nonetheless called him back a second time but his voice mail came on. I never heard back from this person. The duration of my entire “relationship” with this person lasted less than ten minutes. I then received notification from AVVO of this person’s above comment about me. As proven by my 110 client reviews posted herein on AVVO, I continually strive for the utmost client satisfaction in each of my cases. Having handled well over 2,000 cases in my career, and having spoken with probably over 5,000 different callers, I guess the old cliché is true: “You cannot please all of the people all of the time” as, irrespective of what you do, someone, somewhere will have something negative to say about you.
