I was arrested for DUI in September, 2006. After searching for a good lawyer to represent me, a friend of mine highly recommended that I use Howard Weintraub as my attorney. What a wonderful choice that was! According to the Georgia State Patrol trooper who pulled me over because I was speeding, I had a strong odor of alcohol on my breath, my eyes were watery and bloodshot, and I stumbled when I walked outside of my car. Also, the trooper claimed that I had 6 out of 6 clues on the eye examination and that I swayed very badly during that test. I also registered .141 on the alcosensor. After the trooper arrested me, I agreed to take the breath test at the police station and I blew almost 1 1/4 times the legal limit.
After representing me for over 2 1/2 years, in December, 2008 Howard Weintraub was successful in convincing the judge in Fulton County State Court to dismiss my entire case. Because of Howard Weintraub’s efforts I was not found guilty of anything: not even of speeding (which I clearly was guilty of). Because of Howard Weintraub’s representation of me I never lost my license and I continue to have a clean record, free of any criminal convictions.
Thank you Howard Weintraub for being a caring and wonderful attorney.

I first met Howard Weintraub in January 2006. From that first meeting until the termination of my case in December 2009, Mr. Weintraub demonstrated complete professionalism and a thorough determination to have my case proceed with as little damage to me as possible. He knows the legal system inside and out, and worked diligently to ensure every option available was pursued. I was comfortable with Mr. Weintraub from the first meeting, and was always made to feel confident but realistic about potential outcomes. I did a lot of research on my own, and I had many questions and concerns, and Mr. Weintraub always answered my questions and addressed my concerns promptly.
In my case, a conviction carried a minimum mandatory sentence of one year in prison. Mr. Weintraub was able to work with the prosecutors and judge to get me a sentence that allowed me to avoid any jail or prison time. The value of that outcome is immeasurable. Now, less than three years after reaching this deal, the conviction is expunged and Mr. Weintraub is working to get the arrest expunged as well. It's possible that I'll be able to carry on with my life without so much as an arrest appearing on my record. As it is, my conviction will not appear on background checks, which means I will not be affected by my conviction in any meaningful, lasting way. Mr. Weintraub worked with probation officers to successfully get my sentence terminated early, and his willingness to work on my behalf at every stage of my case, even post-sentencing, was expressed from the beginning.
Simply put, Mr. Weintraub showed a commitment to my case that I would not have received from most attorneys, and as a result, I received what I believe is the best possible outcome in my case—indeed, I could not have anticipated an outcome as positive as mine has been. Mr. Weintraub is incredibly talented and as effective as I believe anyone could be. I highly recommend him to anyone in need of a defense attorney. Atlanta, GA

I am forever grateful for Howard Weintraub and his legal team. Beginning with my initial call to his law office and ending with his courtesy call after my case, I continually felt that Howard was not only interested in winning the case, but also interested in my general welfare. My case was different in that I was living in Chicago, IL but needed representation in Atlanta, GA. I did not meet Howard until the day before my case; all previous correspondence was via phone and email. His professionalism made distance a non-issue. He was thoroughly prepared for my day in court and was very candid about legal possibilities and ramifications throughout my two month ordeal. I never imagined that I would have to defend myself in a court of law; Howard is the only reason that my outcome was successful. He is the FIRST person that I will call should I ever again need legal advice or representation. - Chicago, IL

Several years ago while I was a high school teacher I was wrongfully accused of sexual misconduct with a 15 year old student. I hired Howard Weintraub to be my lawyer. Because of the masterful job that Mr. Weintraub did in pretrial hearings in attacking my accuser’s story, the State offered me a deal that if I pled guilty to a lesser charge and surrendered my teaching license I would get probation. The judge told Mr. Weintraub and me that if I turned down this deal and went to trial the judge would give me at least 20 years in prison if the jury said I was guilty. I turned down the deal and placed my life and the lives of my wife and children in the hands of Mr. Weintraub. Mr. Weintraub did a fantastic job of representing me during my two week long trial and the jury found me to be not guilty of all of the false charges brought against me. I owe my life to Mr. Weintraub and I highly recommend him to anyone needing a hardworking, honest and aggressive attorney.

Never in my wildest dreams could I have ever imagined that one day I would be in need of a criminal defense attorney! As a professional business woman I have worked with many outstanding lawyers, but I consider Howard Weintraub by far to be one of Atlanta’s best Criminal Defense/DUI attorneys.
Because my case en compassed a substantial amount of time, I became very familiar with his style of practice. It wasn’t long before I soon realized how special this lawyer is, not only for my case and me, but also for his other clients as well. While working on my case I noticed that he was able to structure out a successful legal strategy based on my best interest and did so by combining his infinite wisdom and legal foresight to advise me. It was truly astonishing to see that plan executed when we made our courtroom appearances!
As you would expect, Howard is very well regarded in the legal community. When we would enter the courthouse I was truly amazed how well the judges respected him, as well as, his peers.
With an unrelenting passion for the rights of his clients and an extraordinary knowledge of the law, Howard produces favorable results -- it is understandably clear why Howard Weintraub has a reputation of being an excellent attorney.
Howard possesses excellent legal skills and an extraordinary compassion for people. His legal insight coupled with his years of experience and a winning reputation, makes Howard Weintraub an outstanding lawyer in my book, and one of the top criminal defense attorneys in Atlanta.
Howard’s kindhearted nature and happy disposition makes him an extraordinary advocate. Because of his unrelenting tenacity and dedication to produce the greatest result and outcome for my case, I also consider him to be my friend.
It is with great pleasure that I endorse the services of Howard J. Weintraub, and I encourage anyone in need of a criminal defense attorney or requiring legal assistance with a DUI to contact him. Like so many clients before me, procuring the services of Howard Weintraub allowed me to discover what makes this man an excellent lawyer!

I hired Howard after making the very stupid decision of placing a bomb in my girlfriends car ( Dont worry it was unoccupied, and I meant it to be like a cherry bomb in a mailbox - believe me I know there is no justifying this very stupid decision). I had the ATF breathing down my neck hot and heavy. Not the group of individuals you want after you, if they think your there man, they'll fix the case, and the evidence, believe me I know, they are trouble.
At any rate, the ATF discovered that I was a Felon, and that I had possessed a couple of guns, even though I honestly thought I was not!! At any rate the law does not care what you think about your criminal history, a felon in possession is a for sure your doing time. I refused to accept that label, and insisted to Howard that we go to trial. It took some PI work, and alot of leg work, and a damn good lawyer to present it to the Jury. But, I write here to tell you that Howard Wientraube got a NOT GUILTY verdict from the Federal Grand JURY on all the counts of possession. I did no time for those guns.. I was warned not to ever possess one again, and let go!!!!!!!!
People, I have read your posts about money. It is a very expensive task to go up against the State, and an overwhelming task to go up against the FEDS, they print the money. But, this is your only shot. Wait till your doing ten plus years in Prison, and getting quotes of 25,000 dollars plus to file an appeal. An appeal is just paper writing, no PI work, interviews, depositions, trial time.. Don't be stingy, spend the money- your freedom is worth every penny. Take it from someone who has experienced the entire process.
I'm now married to that girl who's car I damaged, have two kids, a house, a great job.. I'm happy, and I consider Howard a great friend.
This man is worth the money.. you can call me for a reference!

Anyone who has been charged with serious crimes by the federal government knows how stressful this can be to both oneself and especially to one’s family and loved ones. As such, I needed an attorney who I could trust my life with. This was no easy task as I only knew the negative connotations associated with attorneys.
After hiring Attorney Howard Weintraub I realized that my previously formed negative thoughts about attorneys were no longer true as I had found an attorney who did more than he promised. Not only were Howard Weintraub’s fees reasonable, and the number of hours he spent on my case well exceeded the fees he charged, but he took my case personally.
His knowledge about the federal laws and the federal sentencing guidelines is remarkable. The weeks that we spent together preparing my case for court made me realize that I had found an exceptional attorney who eased my stress and believed in me. His relentless pursuit for justice in my case resulted in a very favorable outcome for me.
As such I not only hired an attorney, but I gained a friend who my family and I will always hold very close to our hearts. I have no hesitation in discussing my experience with Howard Weintraub and I would welcome contact with anyone who is searching for an attorney who will be straight forward and honest and will give 100% of his efforts to ensure that you have the best legal representation available.

I was under investigation by the Internal Revenue Service and the United States Department of Justice for allegedly preparing thousands of false tax returns. If I were to be indicted and convicted, I was facing over five years in prison and the payment of restitution of between $200,000.00 - $300,000.00. I was desperate and fearful over losing my freedom, being branded a convicted felon, owing the government over one quarter million dollars and losing my life as I had known it. I prayed to God for a hard fighting, aggressive and highly respected attorney who would defend me and prevent the government from ruining my life and the lives of my children. There were so many lawyers to go to but I thank God for directing me to Atlanta Attorney Howard Weintraub. Through Mr. Weintraub’s efforts, knowledge and reputation he convinced the government that I was innocent and not to bring any charges against me. I learned of Mr. Weintraub’s victory and of the government’s decision not to indict me just 8 days before Christmas, 2010. This is the greatest Christmas present I have ever received. I highly recommend Howard Weintraub to anyone in the country in need of a fantastic, hard fighting, aggressive and highly respected criminal lawyer. Thank you Howard, and Merry Christmas to you Howard Weintraub and your family.

I retained Howard J. Weintraub to represent me in my case versus the United States government that dealt firsthand with the infamous McDonald's Monopoly game scandal. With this being said, I needed counsel that was competent and trustworthy to handle the case that could determine the outcome of the rest of my life. I researched attorneys thoroughly in the Atlanta area and found Howard with the best credentials from not only experience as a well known defense attorney, but also as a federal prosecutor. Throughout the course of this extensive litigation with the federal government, dealing with U.S. Marshalls and U.S. District Courts, Weintraub showed nothing short of tenacity and professionalism. Howard was always there to assist me and ensure there would be a positive outcome to my case. His expertise and comprehensive knowledge of both state and federal laws, allowed me to persevere and close my case efficiently. Furthermore, I would wholeheartedly and highly recommend Weintraub's representation as counsel.

Relationship: Worked together on matter
Having worked together on a case with Mr. Weintraub, it is evident that he knows his way around a courtroom. Mr. Weintraub's knowledge of the law and eloquence of the tongue are what sets him apart from other attorneys. He also has a multitude of experience in state and federal manners. I would recommend him for any criminal or traffic matters.
