State v. Reginald Fisher

Case Conclusion Date: 08.11.2011

Practice Area: Criminal defense

Outcome: Not Guilty on All Counts

Description: I represented a police officer charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery. The officer was working an off-duty job in an apartment complex in a bad part of town. The officer tried to stop and speak with a man leaving the apartment complex. The man got into his car and tried to flee from the officer. The man then reached under his seat and came up holding what the officer thought was a gun. The officer fired one shot in self-defense. Unfortunately, the man was holding only a cell phone. After a week and a half long trial, the jury found the officer not guilty on all counts.
