also known as Brooke M. Barylick
I represent clients in all aspects of domestic relations litigation, including: divorce, separate maintenance, child custody and support modifications, contempt, post-divorce modification and enforcement, family violence, paternity, and legitimation and prenuptial agreements.
I am registered with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution as a mediator for both civil and domestic relations cases. I completed my civil and domestic relations mediation training at Henning Mediation.
I am trained as a Guardian ad Litem and am on the preferred list for both Fulton and Cobb County cases.
I am a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia, the Cobb Family Law Bar, the Stonewall Bar Association of Georgia, and the Weltner Inn of Court. I enjoy giving time to the Child Support Helpline, the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation and the Fulton County Family Law Information Center. I was selected for a three year term (2016 - 2019) on the Atlanta Bar Association Continuing Legal Education Board of Trustees
I received my J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2003. In law school, I was on the Moot Court Board of Directors and served as the Director of Competitions. I was a member of the Order of the Barristers.
Prior to law school, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, in Political Science and Spanish from Union College in Schenectady, New York in 2000. I served as the Editor-in-Chief of Concordiensis, the Union College Newspaper, during my junior and senior years. I am an alumni interviewer for Union College and participate in the Union College Alumni Club of Atlanta.
Prior to joining Boyd Collar Nolen & Tuggle, LLC, I practiced family law with Weinstock & Scavo, P.C. and Lawler Green Givelber & Prinz, LLC.
I am originally from Massachusetts, but have lived in Georgia for nearly 16 years. I am an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan and enjoy spending time with my husband, two young daughters and our rescued border collie mix.
