Scott Cummins was my attorney for a car accident and personal injury claim. His firm gave me excellent, caring, and thorough services. I highly recommend Scott and his law firm to anyone needing help with a personal injury case. He got me an excellent settlement so I was very pleased. It was very convenient to have him right here in Newnan and I didn't have to go all the way to an Atlanta office that would have charged way more for services. This firm went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met, and still do today if I need anything even though it's been 3 years since my settlement.

My daughter had 3 serious traffic tickets. A good friend of mine had used Scott Cummins and referred him. I was well pleased with the way Scott handled our case. He went to court with us and pleaded our case and we had a very good ruling from the courts. In hindsight, hiring Scott was the best thing we could have done, if we had gone to court without a lawyer I am sure the outcome would have been much different. Scott was always very caring, professional, and kept us informed at all times.

Last year our world was turned upside down. Our son, who had never been in any trouble, was involved in a car accident that killed one man, injured one lady and injured a Georgia state trooper. We are from another state and had no idea who to call. We were referred to Scott Cummins by the CFO of our son's company, who happened to be a local resident. He indicated that Scott Cummins had the reputation of being one of the best criminal defense attorneys in that area.
Our son blew a 0.00 at the scene and then was taken to a local hospital for blood testing. He was charged with 12 felony counts and faced up to 67 years in prison. Eventually, all of the DUI charges were dropped and our son took a blind plea. He was sentenced to 15 years to serve 3. Subsequently, several months later Mr. Cummins filed a request for a reduction in sentence and the judge reduced our son’s initial sentence down to 15 years to serve 1 and reduced his community service from 1,000 hours to 240 hours.
Mr. Cummins was instrumental in leading and guiding us through a legal maze. He also maintains a good working relationship with the prosecutors and judges in his area. I think what says the most about his representation is that while we never thought our son deserved to spend one day in prison, we knew realistically what we were facing. Mr. Cummins was always upright and forthcoming with us; even when he had to be brutally honest. After the fact, we have never doubted that we made the right decision in retaining Mr. Cummins. We are hyper aware of accidents in that area of Georgia now and have seen many cases of young people who are sentenced to 15 years and generally serve 7 to 8 years.
Not only did Mr. Cummins take a professional interest in this case; he and his entire staff took a personal interest also. In hindsight, we would definitely not change our choice in choosing Mr. Cummins as our defense attorney. His help and guidance literally meant that our son would not have to spend the rest of his life in prison and miss the birth and life of his first child.

Scott is truly an elite advocate who fights for each and every one of his clients. Scott leaves no stone unturned in pursing justice for those he represents. He takes each case personally and dedicates himself like few other attorneys will. If I found myself in trouble, Scott would be the first attorney I would call.
