I was represented by Holly Veal to Defend a charge for DUI in the City of Atlanta. She was extremely diligent and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Holly is very knowledge about the law and thoroughly explained every aspect of my case whenever a question came up. Her strategies were well thought out and she was ultimately able to get the DUI charged reduced to a lesser offense - the best possible option under the circumstances my case. I was very satisfied with the outcome and her overall diligence and service. Thank you Holly!

On May 1, 2017, at approx. 8:50 am, Holly Veal, my previous hired attorney, appeared in Judge Amero's courtroom in Henry County, GA to represent her client. 2 years ago, I hired Holly to represent me in my criminal matter and paid her $15,000. During the 2 years, I frequently inquired about our defense to the SA's allegations. When I called, Holly's investigator would always tell me to speak to Holly regarding my case. Since this was my FIRST time ever being involved in the legal world, I had no clue of the criminal defense process. Waiting anxiously for Holly to call or write me to go over my defense, she told me in January 2017, "I see no defense . . . " My sister was present at the time of this conversation. In addition, Holly stated that she and Robin Daitch, the Assistant Attorney General, were friends and she (Holly) did not want to go against her in trial. Perplexed as I was, Holly told me the SA offered me a plea. I requested to see the plea in writing from the SA, but Holly never gave me a copy of the plea from the SA. Days later, I called Holly with my friend on the telephone and advised her that I was not accepting the mysterious plea and I wanted to prepare for trial. Holly stated that she would meet with me weekly and prepare for trial. She also stated that she would contact me with a list of resources that could possibly assist us with defending my case. That never happened! With my trial specially set for May 1, 2017, Holly emailed me in Feb 2017, asking me if I had $10,000 so she can hire an attorney to assist her with my case, because she did not have the time to devote to my case. Rather than giving her more money, I hired another attorney and an expert. Less than a month before my trial, below are the emails between Holly and myself:

I would much prefer have an order in hand than just show up with argument for Judge Amero. I will put in writing here for reassurance that my intention is to see this case to the end and while I cannot guarantee the September case won't go, it is my opinion based on the facts that it will resolve. To be clear it is a risk.

Is it possible for you to request an emergency hearing so we can explain to the Judge that you didn't prepare for my trial because you and Robin expected me to take the plea. Robin stated that in one of her emails/motions to you.
In Feb 2017, you stated that I needed to hire another attorney because you didn't have the time to work on my case, so I hired an attorney and an expert. Have you assigned the attorney a specific area of my case you want him to assist with? Have you discussed in detail with the attorney what evidence the State has against me?
Have you interviewed any of the witnesses on my list? Please provide the details.
Have you examined the search warrant to see whether or not the State followed protocol?
Have you examined the Federal Law on Medicaid Fraud to see if the State followed protocol investigating House of Preparation since the State requested to have my license terminated on false allegations, but wasn't successful per the letter from the Medicaid Director.
What exactly have you done in preparing for my case?
When did we meet to strategize for trial? You told me in January 2017 that were going to meet and discuss my case , but that hasn't happened." I will be filing a compliant against Holly for breach of fiduciary duty.

I couldn't have asked for a better attorney. Ms. Veal was very professional and knowledgeable. She explained the process and what we could expect. She clarified all of the information and ensure that we understood. My family has never had to deal with any criminal legal proceedings previously. So we were quit nervous and even embarrassed to be there. Ms. Veal makes you comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. She negotiated an agreement that avoided jail time and wouldn't ruin our child's life. I thank you Ms. Veal so much. I just want to give you a big hug. I am forever grateful. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your knowledge and expertise are impeccable.

Holly Veal is excellent at what she does! This is the first time that I ever needed a lawyer for anything. The lawyer that I contacted before Holly, had me running back and forth with little to no information on what I needed to do. After firing him and a recommendation, God blessed me with Holly Veal. She calmed me down (I was a nervous wreck) and let me know what I had to look forward to with the case. Everyone at the law office were very nice and made sure I felt comfortable. She was confident that we would win my case and we did! If I ever need a lawyer in the future, Holly Veal is on speed dial! Thank You So Much!

My daughter was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and a felony for shoplifting. She did neither one but the officers involved made it appear she did. Ms. Veal was instrumental in investigating the issues and had my daughter's charges dropped. She really listens where other attorneys I have hired do not. You get what you pay for and she is worth it!!!

From the beginning I asked God in the name of Jesus that whosoever we were to have represent our son, that he be with them. And we can honestly say that through our faith that that was exactly what happened. Our son was on trial for malice felony murder. That carried 11 different charges and he was possibly facing 135 years in prison. Attorney Veal's genuine concern, commitment and professionalism really prevailed. He was found NOT GULITY on all 11 charges and was released to be free on August 29, 2016. We are very pleased and thankful for all the effect that Attorney Veal put forth for our son.

Attorney Veal represented our son in juvenile court involving a traffic accident. Attorney Veal was excellent!!! After our first visit we were instantly at easy and confident in her abilities to represent our son . My son's citation was dismissed with minimal court fees. We could not have done this without her professionalism and familiarity with court proceeding involving juveniles! I would highly recommend Attorney Holly Veal!!!

My son was facing a charge of possession of marijuana, he is a senior in high school, foot ball player, and good student academically. Very scary for the family. Atty Veal was easy to reach, very informative, and walked us through the process of what he could be facing, she made it understandable. In the end, the charges were dismissed, with good reason. He was not guilty, but was also scared of the possible outcome. We are very grateful for her expertise.
