Used a credit card that wasn't mine for $144 in the state of Georgia. And I wanted to know the punishment or fine
Maximum for first time theft of credit card is a misdemeanor, maximum penalty is $1000 fine and a year in jail. Using the card to charge is a felony and it is called ILLEGAL USE OF FINANCIAL TRANSACTION CARDS. 1 to 3 years in prison, maximum $5000 fine. Prosecutors can also charge identity theft or various fraud charges. We can't know exactly what you are going to be charged with until the prosecutor indicts you. You will probably need a lawyer. HTH, I wish you well.See question

He will 'only call you if there is a problem' probably means that you will not be contacted by him unless there is a problem. For example, if you got arrested for another charge or if he wants to give you a urine test.
Maybe you will be going back, maybe not. It is up to the probation officer. You probably won't need to sign anything.
Why he didn't ask for your new address? I would have to speculate.
In the meantime, don't drink alcohol, don't break the law and don't take any medications for which you don't have a prescription. Often, when releasing a probationer or placing a probationer on 'non report' the officer will order a urine test. I hope that helps.See question

Tell the manager that you are going to report the motel to the Fulton County Department of Public Health if he doesn't rectify the problem.
If you are going to be stuck there, then get a box of 20 Mule Team Borax (about 2 dollars) and sprinkle it around on the mattress, box springs, bed rails, headboard, and any other areas and furniture near the bed. Work it in to any spot that they can hide, and use a rubber glove. it can be vacuumed off, you just need a little bit everywhere. Bedbugs walk through it and the Borax kills them by dehydrating them. I know it isn't legal advice, but it will kill all the bedbugs within a week or so. You will have to wash all your clothes, or you will take them with you to wherever you go. I do not think that the motel manager can have employees use Borax, but it should be all right for you to use it. I hope that helps. I would definitely call the health dept if manager doesn't respond. You can get bedbugs from any hotel, by the way. They were pretty much wiped out in the US by a product called DDT, which was banned in the 1980s.
Take pics of the bugs and bites. The bugs are tiny, so you might consider putting some in a jar. Also, you should find black spots on the mattress. Black is what red human blood turns into when it sits a while. Good luck, I hope that helps.See question

I my be wrong, but it appears that there may be two actions here: the IRS taxes that you paid, and the State of Georgia, which seems to be after their income tax money. If so, paying off the IRS has nothing to do with paying off the state tax liability. Either way, he needs a lawyer. Best of luck to you.See question

You should call a lawyer and get a free consultation. A sharp lawyer will know what is going on in a few minutes. As a regular guest, or licensee, the landowner might have a certain duty, but since you were there to confer an economic benefit on the landowner (potentially buying or renting the place) he may have had a heightened duty with regard to your safety. IOW, You might qualify as a "business invitee"

The intent required for trespass is that you went on the land of another. It doesn't matter whether you knew it belonged to the victim, it is enough that you entered upon the land of another without the permission of the landowner or person entitled to exclusive use of the land. The case would be tough, if not impossible to win at trial. That being said, you have several other options available to you other than a trial which will result in no conviction. A trial would be a waste of money and time, and will likely get you some jail time. a heavy fine and a record of conviction for a fairly serious misdemeanor. Contact a Georgia criminal defense lawyer on AVVO and get this thing fixed. This isn't a do it yourself project. Good luck.See question

Someone on AVVO here can handle it. You face a fine if it is Cobb County, for example. If you have a lawyer, he may well be able to get the fine reduced. You have to get a lawyer or show up or pay the ticket. The problem with paying the ticket is that you have to worry about pleading guilty and getting points in your home state. Good luck!See question
