Grateful Veteran

I spent the better part of a year looking for an attorney to take my case that no one else was wiling to accept due to its complexity. As I was about to give up, Steven and his team were recommended by another lawyer. After speaking with him briefly, I knew I had the right professional for the job. H...e and his team put tremendous effort in preparing for our court date. With me being out of the state due to military service, he ensured I was well represented and handled everything perfectly. I could not have asked for a better outcome. I only wish I could have found him sooner. Absolute class act and top tier professional!

He was extremely inspiring and professional .

I don't know where to start. I don't think words can describe the amazing job Steven Shewmaker did for my case. I was hopeless and did not trust anyone after dealing with that problem for over 4 years. Faith and a recommendation brought me to him on the day of his birthday. si will never forget that.... I called his law firm exactly 10 minutes before 5pm. I was looking for a lawyer. He answered the phone and listened to all i had to say. in the middle of my frustration. I had court in just few days and i was running out of time . He made time on his calendar and gave me an appointment 2 days later. After i met with him and i left his office, all i could think is that, he was the right person to fight for me since i couldn't do it on my own and specially because he had an honorably background. I only wanted justice. He was professional and i was just impressed how he handled the case in front of the judge and It was very very INSPIRING. He got justice for me and he made me believe in the justice again. If you need a lawyer that fight for justice and for the truth, just look for him. He was amazing. The justice and law does exist. I was blessed to have him on my path as a lawyer. Thank you so much to you and everyone in your office that was involved in this case specially the amazing and sweet Healy. She was also amazing. They were a great team. They were very organized. Thank you Steven for every advice you gave me and especially for that phrase that was out in that frame at the office. Executive/Military divorce

If you’re retired military and/or a high income earning professional about to go through a divorce - You need to call Steve and Patty Shewmaker. I was hit with a surprise divorce after 20 years of marriage planned for months with her military and divorce lawyers. I was told to move out and begin p...aying $6,700 month in alimony by my wife’s lawyer. Steve stepped in and began fighting for me day one. It got very nasty, but Steve and Patty were there fighting for me every day. I stayed in my house - she left. Steve is always concerned about cost and offers best option in divorce to both parties. We fought for a year going to a final hearing. Steve is outstanding in court. After one day at final hearing, my ex-wife decided her lawyer was not up to the task of going against Steve in court. She received very small lump sum alimony, none of my military retirement, none of the 401K from my work, none of the company stocks, and only 50% equity in the martial home which I continue to live in. The two children we raised together live with me. If you have a military pension, you need call Steve and Patty to help protect it!

You are a good man with a really big heart. It is obvious how you care for those young men. I am sorry your case intersected with such obvious greed (the other attorney). BUT, you always behaved like the perfect Officer & Gentleman. You never broke the faith. You are on the good path.

Amazing and Helpful

Integrity and honor

When I first contacted Shewmaker and Shewmaker, I was deployed to a forward area trying to navigate through a messy separation, divorce and multiple allegations made by my spouse to my chain of command ranging from adultery and non-payment of support to treason. I cannot adequately express the degree... to which Steve and his wife saved my life and my career. They helped me through my marathon divorce, medical discharge from the Army, clearing me of all allegations with my chain of command, and being cleared of all the allegations that stood against me that could have cost me my security clearance and my livelihood. Steve interceded on my behalf with the military and was co-counsel in my divorce proceedings. The assistance I received from Shewmaker and Shewmaker was more than what any other lawyer could have provided. They helped me, guided me through military and civilian courts and legal knots, and stood by me through years of legal entanglements. I would not be where I am if not for them. Steve is the epitome of what army officers and legal professionals should be, but rarely are: honorable, reliable, and professional.
