I couldn't be more pleased. A lawyer with a heart.

From the beginning of my case to the end, Steve was attentive, accurate and encouraging. The case that was presented to me was very much not in my favor and at first glance, it seemed the outcome would have been not a good situation. Steve helped me gather all the necessary pertinent information to f...orm a solid defense. His team was with me all the way through as well to answer the many questions that I had and prompted me for more discovery when needed. Long story short. We were able to settle the case after a long day of mediation to a very reasonable compromise. Steve was not just going through the motions, he cared and made a substantial difference in my case. I would highly recommend Steve and his firm to anyone needing counsel.

Great Job

Steve Shewmaker came highly recommended as an attorney. I did extensive research on hiring an attorney for my divorce. I chose Steve because he is very well respected among his colleagues as being ethical, honest, and intelligent. He is understanding and has exceptional foresight in how a case could ...be determined. Steve’s ability to put things in perspective and get me to look down the road saved me a lot of money. He also saved me a lot of money because he is very efficient. My divorce started in 2014 and I hired Steve. The wife and I worked things out. A year later I was getting divorced again. I was talked into using another attorney by some friends. This attorney had all the credentials so to speak. Two months into my divorce I fired that attorney and went back to Steve. I later found out that Steve also practices Military Law, which came in very helpful since I am a Military Reservist. Through my contacts in the military I found out that Steve is one of the top Military Attorney’s in the nation. My X-Wife even trusted Steve and sought his advice. At the tail end of the divorce my X-Wife’s attorney dismissed her as a client. Although Steve could not advise her on how to proceed he explained things at her level and we were finally able to work through the last few issues. A divorce is one big compromise on everything. Steve was in my corner the whole way. His ability to work with the other side was key for my settlement. I received exceptional visitations rights and did not have to pay alimony. I even got to keep the house. My divorce settlement was very favorable to me. All because of Steve’s ability as an attorney and hard work.

Excellent Lawyer

I have dealt with a few lawyers in the past and Steve Shewmaker outshines them all. His initial consultation was straight forward and fair. I was facing an uphill battle and he let me know that upfront. He was very knowledgeable and advised me accordingly. Every email that was sent by opposing counse...l was shared with me immediately. Every new development in my case was brought to my attention within an hour. Every phone call I made, email I sent, or question I had was answered quickly by either Steve himself or one of his team members. I always felt like my case was important and I was well taken care of. Against difficult odds my requests were granted. I am now the primary physical custodian of my beautiful daughter. Thank you Shewmaker and Shewmaker!!

I am a former client of Steven Shewmaker. Fortunately or unfortunately I may be his client again, but at least I know if I do need an attorney, Steve will be my only choice. I fought my child custody/visitation case in both California and Georgia. Steve worked for me in the state of Georgia and ...although most of my case was worked in California, where I live, it was such a relief to know that although I was not there in Georgia, I had an attorney that has an impeccable work ethic and trust worthy character. I did not have to stand behind him to know my case was important to him as well as me, and I could continue my life and day to day stress without worrying about what was happening in Georgia without me there. Steve is very thorough and creative, he thinks outside the box when there is nothing else left in the box to work with. I never saw Steve procrastinate or appear disinterested, exactly the opposite, I would get off of the phone with Steve feeling confident and assured. I highly recommend Steven Shewmaker as a Family Law attorney.

An Exceptional Attorney

I cannot begin to express how wonderful it was to have Mr. Shewmaker as my divorce attorney. From the beginning, he was always honest, trustworthy, and informative. As a military spouse, I could not have had a more knowledgeable attorney on my side and fighting for my rights. He never made promises ...he could not keep and throughout the entire divorce process Steve always left me feeling less stressed and confident in all of the decisions I had to make. I was always impressed with how quick I would receive responses for any questions i had, no matter the time of day or night. I always felt as though I was a priority as a client and he was always 100% on top of every situation or issue as they arose. Not only is Steve an exceptional attorney, but he is a wonderful human being. I am blessed to have met him and had him on my side throughout my divorce process. You will not find a more attentive, competent, knowledgeable, caring, and intelligent attorney working for you. I cannot thank him enough for everything he did for me and my daughter and I am more than pleased with my experience and outcome.
