About me

Schuyler F. Hoynes is a native and current resident of Cobb County, where she lives with her husband and a menagerie of pets.  She earned her B.A. from the University of Alabama in 2001 and her M.B.A. from Georgia Southern University in 2004.  After earning her M.B.A., Schuyler moved back to Atlanta, where she worked as a legal assistant until deciding to go to law school in 2006.

Schuyler earned her law degree in 2009 from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where she was a member of the ABA Client Counseling and Interviewing Competition Team and the President of the JMLS Chapter of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers.  She joined the firm of Lyle Detling & Levine, LLC after graduation and started her solo practice in 2011.  In April of 2011, Schuyler was commissioned as a First Lieutenant in the Georgia Army National Guard.  She is a Judge Advocate for the 648th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade in Columbus, Georgia, and serves full-time as an Attorney Advisor for the Georgia Army National Guard.  Schuyler is also a Registered Neutral through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, and serves as a mediator in non-domestic civil matters.

Schuyler is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Cobb County Bar Association, and the Junior League of Cobb-Marietta.  She is also a past member of the Georgia Association for Women’s Lawyers, and the past President of the Alabama Alumni & Booster Club of Atlanta.  In her spare time, Schuyler enjoys reading, cooking, watching football, and spending time with her family.
