Excellent Divorce & Child Custody Attorney

I first hired Judy Sartain to represent me as my divorce attorney when I was left homeless with a baby due to financial and emotional abuse. After speaking with several attorneys previously, I knew she was the right attorney to handle my case. When my ex took me back to family court for child custod...y and support modification several years later, I again chose Ms. Sartain to represent me as I had already experienced her incredible demeanor in court. Child Custody is the most stressful and financially draining experience a parent can go through in life. Ms. Sartain helped me through these difficult moments with quick response times and an impeccable execution during my mediation where I was able to resolve everything without the need for a trial thanks to her empathetic support. I would recommend her and her daughter to anyone needing a divorce or family law attorney.

When I was surprised at work, in front of my boss, with divorce papers… I was caught flat footed and unaware of my next step. Fortunately, I found Judy, Catherine, and the team at Stearns, Montgomery & Proctor. I was emotional. They were cool headed. I was angry. They were calm. I wanted to fi...ght. They were ready for one, but brokered a better compromise that didn’t destroy either party. Catherine’s expertise and forethought during mediation translated to a fair deal both of us. Judy’s experience and bearing in court put me at ease, knowing my interests would be well protected. Judy Sartain. Custody & Legitimation case

This was my first experience with needing legal assistance. I couldn’t be happier with the work Judy Sartain and her team did on my case, and I would recommend her to anyone who would listen. Legal matters of any kind are accompanied by uncertain and emotionally draining times, but because of Judy an...d her team I always knew there was a plan in place laid out for me step by step to give me the best chance for my end goals. Communication was huge for me, and Judy runs a tight ship. Every step of the way I was able to communicate with someone on my team if not Judy herself and know that my specific needs and updates were constantly communicated within the team. When it came time for mediation not only did Judy’s years of experience shine through, she was able to speak for me as if we had discussions every day for the past 6 months. I am convinced my outcome would not have been the same without Judy and her team.

The best!!!

Judy and her staff are the best! We hired them to help with our contested adoption. We consulted with Judy in September 2022 and everything was finalized August 2023. Her and her staff are very knowledgeable of the laws. Judy was a “pit bull” in the court room. I only wish we would’ve done this soone...r. We went to many attorneys before Judy and just got the run around.

Pitbull in a skirt!

I am eternally grateful to Judy Sartain and her team for representation in my custody case for my granddaughter. Judy is extremely knowledgeable, thorough and a straight shooter. She ensured not only my granddaughter's safety, but mine as well during this entire process. Her team was very punctual in... responses, thorough in their research, and when Judy could not be in court with me, Catherine stood in and was just as amazing as her mother. I am hopeful that I do not need their services in the future, but I know exactly who to call if I do. I have found not just a great attorney in Judy, but a friend as well.
