About me

Zach is a former DUI prosecutor in Gwinnett County.  Zach was the lead prosecutor in Division Six of the State Court of Gwinnett County where he prosecuted thousands of DUI cases. Having passed the Georgia Police Standardized Field Sobriety Training course as well as attending the Prosecuting Attorney Council's DUI Training, Zach has the unique ability to view DUI cases from the prosecutor's perspective. Rick Ryczek recognized Zach's professionalism and excellent trial skills as a prosecutor and eventually invited Zach to join the Ryczek Firm, P.C. in October of 2011. In September 2012, Zach realized a lifelong dream by opening his own solo practice, Procter Law, P.C..

Growing up in an Air Force family, Zach called 7 states 'home' before high school when his family settled in Gainesville, Georgia. Zach earned dual degrees at Georgia Tech and ran for the State House of Representatives while attending college. After graduation, Zach worked on Capitol Hill in Washington DC as a legislative assistant to Congressman Max Burns. Zach earned his law degree from Florida State University (Juris Doctorate) in 2008, and he continues to work in politics by consulting for local judicial campaigns.

Zach lives in Lawrenceville with his wife, Ashley, a high school English teacher, their infant daughter, Kaelyn, and their beagle, Callie.  Zach’s hobbies include brewing his own beer and playing hockey.
