Prompt and Effective

Sharon provided a free consultation, giving advice that was highly effective and, more importantly, guided my actions in a manner that prevented an expensive, time consuming, legal issue. Her advise was grounded in Georgia Law and also integrated her extensive, experiential knowledge of legal precede...nt, which I found to be highly effective. I have recommended Sharon to others who have had similar experiences. I was so impressed with what felt like a person who seemed genuinely motivated by best outcome and practice of GA Law: A natural attorney.

I Wanted No Stars

This lawyer did not do what was agreed with my case, i paid almost $6,000 for nothing to happen, not even a hearing date. She also started to ask for more money to continue to do nothing at all. If i was you i would not use this lawyer, Waste of time.

Thank you for your feedback. Family law cases are often expensive, especially when the parties do not agree. This is why attorneys do not quote estimated total costs for a contested case. Each case cost varies depending on the issues, complexity, and amount of disagreement. We are very clear that in a contested case, there is not a one time flat fee. If you exceed your initial retainer, you will be required to pay more money in order for us to continue in the case. We also make it clear that the retainer fee only covers one legal case. If a client has more than one case, they have to pay separately for each case. However, when the parties can agree on some or all of the issues, the cases are much cheaper. Within the past 7 days, we have closed out at least 6 cases that cost less than $5,000 from start to finish. The challenge is that our clients can't make the other side agree and neither can we. If there is not a full agreement on all of the issues, the judge has to decide. Please reach out to us if there is anything we can do to help you move forward.

Extremely Disappointed

Attorney Jackson proved to be highly unprofessional and I would not recommend her at all. I paid her a 500 deposit to help me enforce my divorce decree. I had a delay in moving forward due to an unexpected medical situation. I emailed her to explain my situation and my first red flag was when she did... not respond to my inquiries in a timely manner. When I asked her why she never responded she replied in a rude and abrupt manner- that was my second red flag. I came in for a second consultation so that we could move forward with the case and she had me waiting in the lobby for 15 minutes while she was on a personal call, never even greeting me. When I finally got her attention she claimed she didn't know I was there even though she has a bell on her door, knew I had an appointment, and has staff that saw me sitting there. Mind you I was sitting across from the reception desk where she was talking on the phone! She didn't have me divorce decree in front of her, and was totally unprepared for my visit. She dropped me as her client via email stating that she had too many cases. When I asked for my deposit back she refused, stating that the work she did compensated for the money I gave her. Mind you I only met with her twice for a short period of time. I requested receipts of all the supposed work she did and months later I have still not received anything. When I called her out on taking my money and bailing she accused me of being rude to her and her staff which is false. I hardly had any interaction with her staff and I was certainly never rude to anyone. She basically needed an excuse for taking advantage of me. I honestly think she treated me this way because I am a poor, single mother and she feels I am not worthy of her time. This experience was highly disturbing and now I am clean out of 500 dollars with nothing to show for it. Shame on Sharon Jackson for unethical practices!
