  • DUI acquittal

    Practice Area:
    Criminal defense
    Outcome:
    Not guilty!
    Description:
I had a case where an older client had been arrested for DUI after being pulled over for speeding. The prosecutor tried to use blood test evidence as well as the client's previous conviction for DUI in the case against my client. I was able to get key evidence from the previous case suppressed and utilized an expert to impeach the investigating officer's conclusion in the current case.
  • Burglary and theft of a motor vehicle

    Practice Area:
    Criminal defense
    Outcome:
    Not guilty!
    Description:
This case involved an allegation of burglary and theft of several motor vehicles. My client had given a written and video taped confession in the case. I was able to get the written confesson suppressed and was able to present sufficient evidence to cast doubt on elements of the video taped confession. Lastly, I was able to use a procedural manuever to get the burglary case dismissed before it ever reached the jury.
  • Debt dismissed

    Practice Area:
    Debt settlement
    Outcome:
    Case and related debt dismissed!
    Description:
A client was struggling with financial difficulties when she was diagnosed with a serious medical condition. She fell behind on her payments and ultimately the credit card company sued her. We went to court and successfully challenged the validity of the debt. Shortly after that we walked out of court with the case dismissed.
  • Debt dismissed

    Practice Area:
    Debt settlement
    Outcome:
    Case and related debt dismissed!
    Description:
A client allegedly owed over $32,000 in credit card debt. I was able to successfully show that the client was a victim of identity fraud. The creditor dismissed the case and erased the debt.
  • Violent felony acquittal

    Practice Area:
    Criminal defense
    Outcome:
    Not guilty on all counts!
    Description:
This case involved a client who was charged with several very serious offenses and he faced the very real possibility of being sentenced to life in prison. Worse still, the prosecutor attempted to introduce evidence of prior bad acts by my client. I was able to split the charges into two separate cases and show where the detective assigned to the case made serious errors that compromised the case. The trial took a week but when liberty is at stake you fight to the very end.
  • Theft by shoplifting

    Practice Area:
    Criminal defense
    Outcome:
Case dismissed and removed from criminal record.
    Description:
A client was arrested and charged with theft by shoplifting. The incident was allegedly captured on video. I maintain a good working relationship with many prosecutors and I was able to negotiate a resolution in this case where the case was ultimately dropped and the arrest removed from the client's record.
  • Drug case result

    Practice Area:
    Criminal defense
    Outcome:
Case resolved with no jail time - a big win for the client!
    Description:
My client had been set up by a confidential informant in a alleged drug sale. The prosecutor wanted my client to serve three years in prison. This was not a realistic option since she has two children (one with special needs). After negotiating with the prosecutor and a meeting with the judge I I was able to get the case closed with no jail time - straight probation and a reduced fine.
