Mr. Katz and his legal team did an excellent job representing my wife and me in a case that involved my wife tripping over a wire basket that was placed on the floor in front of the checkout counter of a local shoe store. My wife sustained serious injuries to her wrist, elbow and back, each requiring... surgery, along with multiple other minor injuries. Although there was video evidence of my wife tripping on the basket that was intentionally placed in front of the counter by shoe store employees, the insurance company's representing the shoe store would not admit liability and would not pay for my wife's medical bills or pain and suffering. Mr. Katz filed suit on our behalf. Afterwards, he and his team began preparing for a potential jury trail. This process involved identifying any/all potential witnesses and taking depositions; talking to and taking depositions of the doctors that performed surgery; identifying and talking to potential expert witnesses; and preparing charts and visual aids to be used at trial or mediation. During this time we were kept informed of where we were in this process and of any updates to the case. After a period of time, the case did go to mediation; not once but twice. The first time, it very quickly became apparent to Mr. Katz that the insurance company was not there to make any kind of settlement that would be remotely acceptable. We wrapped up and several months later they requested that we try again. This time the outcome was much better. Due to Mr. Katz's negotiating skills and persistence, we came to a settlement that was fair and agreeable to all.
This whole process was long and often frustrating. However, due to Mr. Katz and his legal team, we made it through with an outcome that made it worth while.
