Sam McRae grew up in Laurinburg, N.C., and earned a B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. He moved to Georgia to pursue his graduate degree in history from the University of West Georgia. After completing his masters, he rediscovered an interest in the law, which he inherited from his family, so he decided to go to law school at Georgia State University in Atlanta. His primary focus was on litigation and criminal law.
During his time at law school, Sam interned with the DeKalb County Public Defenders, starting in appeals. He quickly moved into the courtroom and handled thousands of traffic violations even before his graduation from law school.
After graduation, he became a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and American Bar Association. He then decided to move into private practice, establishing his own firm with Sam McRae Law before partnering with Gunner to form Pak and McRae Law.
Sam chose this career path so he could dedicate his time and expertise to assisting those who find themselves in difficult situations. And his passion and determination have led to our firm’s 90 percent success rate and ongoing quality that our representation offers each and every client.

Paul Black, Elder law Attorney
Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community
Sam McRae has become one of THE go-to attorneys for traffic matters before Dekalb County and City of Atlanta courts. He is very good at what he does: getting his clients the most favorable outcome following a driving-related offense. He can do this because he knows the relevant laws and procedures inside and out, and because he has a professional working relationship with all of the judges and prosecutors who enforce those laws. I would not hesitate to have Sam handle a criminal defense matter for me or my family members, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to you. In fact, I recommend Sam to others on a regular basis, and those who retain his services always tell me they are very glad they have done so. As Sam expands his practice into other areas, I am confident that he will continue to bring the same level of professionalism and zealous advocacy to every matter he handles.

Sam is the go-to lawyer for help on any traffic ticket. The traffic courts can be very difficult to maneuver with the volume of cases they have, and Sam really knows the ins and outs to get things done efficiently and with great results for his clients. I highly endorse Sam.
