Close to 6 months ago when I decided to part ways with this firm, I tried my best to take the high road. After all, I was the guy who brought the office staff coffee and genuinely felt like I had a relationship with everybody in this office. Sometimes people part ways, which is OK, and I tried to handle this departure with grace. However, they have finally blown things up, threatened my personal and professional credibility, and now potential clients need to know about my experience.
This firm appears to be competent in divorce law, but in every other area of law, working with them was a nightmare. Their communication is awful, and this created extra billable hours and frustration because I had to chase them down and send multiple emails or calls anytime I wanted something done. I ultimately changed counsel because of these issues, only to have my case resolved promptly and fairly. The judge was very hostile to this firm, stating unambiguously that my divorce went on for so long because of the conduct of previous counsel. He told my wife and I that after a year we were still in the first inning, and that our previous counsel did us a complete disservice in the way they transacted their business. They did not even file my adultery case under adultery - they filed under irreconcilable differences, made excuses why they did it, and refiled the case properly AFTER I had already fired them.
Billing Practices? Although I requested a monthly itemized bill, these soon stopped. Months later, I received a bill for over $25,000 that consisted of estimates and guess work. I still do not have an itemized bill from them, because I was threatened that an itemized bill would ultimately be more expensive than their guess work. They are now threatening to sue me to collect on a bill they refused to itemize.
As far as professionalism, Lizz Kuhn told me that my ex wife’s attorney was to be taken lightly. She told me that he is a “coke-head,” that his ex wife was a “pill popper,” and that he wanted to come and work for her firm but they wouldn’t allow it because he had a history of having sexual relations with paralegals. She further gossiped that he went on to marry a woman from Asia who he likes to parade around and show off like a trophy, and the way that we would "win" my case is by she and her husband taking them to dinner. Clearly this never happened, and the entire discussion was a waste of billable hours. How professional is it to tell a client something like that?
As far as other areas of law, they have shown a complete lack of competence in every case myself or my company retained them on. The only two court cases I have ever won that they were involved in were files that I represented myself and hired them to collect the sizable judgments. Although I was billed to discuss these matters, no collection activity ever occurred. Any time opposing counsel stonewalled on discovery requests, Hait and Kuhn never sent a motion to compel, even though I insisted they do so. The other cases I used their services on involve breach of contract which they let fall by the wayside, a non-compete suit that they lost because they failed to furnish evidence that I requested they furnish, insurance bad faith litigation that they failed to send in the 60 day notice letters required by law, and finally a defamation suit that was a slam dunk but they lost and did not even appeal. I understand that no lawsuit is guaranteed, but when you don't even file a motion to compel discovery requests that they stonewall, are you even trying?
All in all, if you are looking for a cheap option to get through an uncontested divorce, they can write up the paperwork just fine. If you need a firm you can stake your future on? Keep browsing.

It is a pleasure to write this review for Lizz, Irena and the whole team at North Metro Litigators.
I unfortunately found myself facing a divorce, and interviewed several different attorneys to help me navigate what turned out to be one of the hardest life events to date that i have ever been through.
I could not imagine, looking back, having anyone else represent me through this process as we worked through a lot of crazy-Lizz and her team handled my case with confidence and know how due to the very apparent experience and expertise they possess.
The firms communication of fees, timeline, expectations, and guidance were provided with great clarity. Every team member at the firm was available to answer any and all my questions, and answered them in an extremely timely manner with great detail so i could make decisions. I felt good through it all that i hired the right firm. I even found myself telling them often, "I'm so glad i hired a competent firm" because it didn't seem all attorneys are created equal as we started dealing with the opposing counsel.
If you are reading this and have found yourself in a similar situation please do yourself a favor and look no further. This firm will get you through it.
My utmost concern was the best outcome for my children and not being stripped of my rights as a loving and involved father. I followed their professional guidance though it all and in the end I was fortunate to get EXACTLY THE RESULT I WAS SEEKING for myself and most importantly my children. I have never been a part time dad and I'm almost emotional to share that i have full access to my children and will be an influential and solid foundation in their lives.
Thank you sincerely from my family to yours for your help in all this Lizz, Irena and the rest of the team.
My regards to you all,

Lizz represented my in a alimony modification.. I had began my case with another firm and they just were not able to get anywhere with it .. Once I hired Lizz and her team for the first time ever I really felt liked they listened to me and made me feel they could help .. This case was tough and took quite some time but they had my back every step of the way . I really can't say enough to compliment them on all their hard work .. Also over the course of the litigation several personal friends had told me they also used Lizz for their legal needs and were very happy with their representation.

YES, you need to hire Hait & Kuhn right now! I was injured in a car accident and as a highly educated individual, I thought I would be able to handle taking on the insurance company and get the treatment I needed to recover on my own, after all I wasn’t at fault. Less than two days later I was so overwhelmed I called Hait & Kuhn. From the second I hired the firm, a huge burden was lifted off my chest. The entire staff is knowledgeable, versatile, compassionate, dedicated, and determined. Elizabeth Kuhn and Dee Dee’s brilliance encompass an array of expertise which allowed me to focus on my healing, my family, and my job without the weight and pressure of the insurance companies and paperwork. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this firm to anyone seeking legal assistance.

Hait & Kuhn handled my contested divorce case...and after more than 3 years (at no fault of Hait & Kuhn) my divorce became final. It was a very difficult and complicated divorce and I am very blessed that Lizz was there with me throughout the entire process! I can't say enough about Lizz's professionalism and overwhelming knowledge of the legal system. After appearing in court with her several times, it became very evident that she is greatly respected among her peers as well as in the courtroom.
There would be periods of time (months) that would pass during the case that I did not need to communicate with Lizz, but even after months of no communication the next time that I would speak with Lizz she made it feel like it had only been days since we had spoken, as if MY case was the only one that she was working on :) Her memory and re-call is AMAZING- never having to repeat my "story" or conversations that we had discussed months (or years) earlier saved me a lot of money, time and frustration. There were times that she was reminding me of things I had forgotten in my own case/life!!!
It was clear early-on in working with Lizz that she was not the "typical" lawyer, as she was concerned with minimizing MY expenses. For instance, she reminded me several times to email her vs. calling her if at all possible because it was less expensive for me. And when I did email her, she always was so responsive in answering no matter what time of day it was. This is just one example of many where she informed me of ways I could save money in working with her.
Divorce is such a stressful and emotional time (especially when it lingers over 3 years) that I'm not sure that I would have much sanity now if I had not known that I could depend on Lizz and that she had my best interest at heart (not just making money). Lizz was the voice of reason and calm in an unreasonable and chaotic situation. She and the whole staff at Hait & Kuhn became to feel like friends and family to me. If I ever need legal help/advise again, there is no other firm that would ever consider! Thank you Lizz for EVERYTHING!!!

After meeting Elizabeth Kuhn on my fifth attorney consultation, I left feeling encouraged and ultimately retained North Metro Litigators for my divorce proceedings. From that point forward, they continually spoke in terms of “us” and “we” in our conversations making me feel that I was not working through this on my own, but that I had a team, and that I was more a friend than just a client. I was impressed that Elizabeth remembered not only the details of my case, but the details of my personal life and continued to express interest and care for my daughters throughout the process.
Through the temporary hearings, depositions and mediation, regardless of whether I was working with Elizabeth, Alex or Irene, I was at no time in doubt of their full control of the situation. Throughout every aspect of my divorce, I felt like their unique insight and ability to navigate the intricate processes, helped my case move quickly.
I would also like to acknowledge one of the many wonderful office paralegals, Ali Williams, who always offered not only office assistance, but much appreciated empathy and kindness in a less than desirable situation.
I would highly recommend North Metro Litigators to anyone who finds themselves in need of any type of legal counsel.

Lizz and Alex and their entire team worked diligently and tirelessly to take my divorce case over from another attorney. Their team concept helps tremendously when you may need a question answered or to provide information when Lizz or Alex is on another case. Lizz is a great leader and seems to not only be well respected and liked by her peers, but even the court house staff in my county. She fought hard for me when my now ex-husband insisted on pushing forward all the way to a trial knowing I was disabled and could no longer work and have no family who is even remotely in a position to assist my health needs financially or otherwise as they are all 20-30 years older than me, retired, and hence on a fixed income. We couldn't believe their position knowing the truth of the matter after my suffering with my health issues for now 18 years to only have deteriorated as I aged and then could no longer work! The opposing team insisted on bringing my doctors and other experts in to testify only to spend most of our hard earned savings when my now ex-husband knew exactly what the doctors and other healthcare professionals would say when a settlement was an easy option, yet they kept refusing to sit down to work out a compromise or stipulate to Medical Narratives and Affidavits. Lizz and her team, especially their paralegal who worked so hard on my case, Hailey Ray, did everything possible to get me financial help and set me up in my elder years. I am typically not one to offer praise or referrals unless the firm, company or product made such a positive impact. I am extremely proud to say I would refer anyone to Hait & Kuhn as they truly will work hard on your case (even while sick or on vacation) to get you the very best result possible. The divorce has just been finalized, but Hait & Kuhn and team are still working feverishly and affordably to assist me as I cannot do much for myself any more. They are referring me to other great people and organizations to assist in setting up my future. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better defense team. Lizz and Alex will be the first phone call should I have issues with my ex-husband in the future. I would trust no one else to represent me. It truly has been a pleasure working with the entire team! Thank you all at Hait & Kuhn!

Everyone who works at this firm is amazing. Lizz has been so supportive, considerate and helpful during my case. I feel they truly care for their clients. They don't try and push you into anything. Lizz listens and then uses her expertise to clearly state your options in a way that is understandable so that the client and the attorney can decide what's best for your particular situation together. I have trusted Lizz and her firm for over a year and have been very happy working with them. Great atmosphere at the Woodstock office. Never been to the Alpharetta location.

I am so thankful to have had such an amazing team at my back to help through a hard time in my life. They stand out above most. Lizz was attentive and understanding of my families needs and there with advice at a moments notice.

They say " An attorney's true ability is measured in the evaluations of their peers" Liz as I know her meets and exceeds this statement. I have found since she has taken our case on has been "TOUGH as NAILS". The fight for custody of our children has been very difficult time in our life. Her and her firm has worked tirelessly to help me and my family come back together. She is a fantastic Attorney. Every moment of my case has been given the upmost attention and care. We have finally found our Guardian Law Angel. If you hire her and her firm you will see results. With out her I've lost my family forever.
