Jenny was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, and she is a graduate of the College of Charleston and Charleston School of Law. Prior to moving to Spartanburg, she helped form the Charleston County Custody Fast-Track Committee, which she co-chaired. Jenny is a frequent speaker at local, state, and national continuing legal education seminars, and she moderates the annual Guardian ad Litem training, sponsored by the South Carolina Bar. She is also one of only 18 attorneys in South Carolina to be selected to participate in the 2014 Leadership Academy sponsored by the SC Bar.
Jenny was trained and certified as a Volunteer Guardian ad Litem during her first year of law school. Following her certification, she devoted her pro bono service work for over two years to representing children involved in abuse and neglect cases in the Charleston County Family Court. These Guardian ad Litem cases, along with her own personal experience with divorce, inspired her to practice family law in a way that focuses not only on the legal aspect of domestic relations, but also on the impact these events have on the individuals involved. Being a wife, mother and stepmother herself, Jenny understands the compassion and sensitivity needed to handle these types of cases.
Jenny is an active member of the Spartanburg County Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar, theSouth Carolina Associate for Justice, the American Bar Association, and the South Carolina Women Lawyer’s Association. She is also a certified private Guardian ad Litem and finds her work representing children in private custody litigation to be some of the most rewarding work in the practice of law. In August 2011, Jenny was also elected by her law school peers to serve a three-year term on Charleston School of Law’s Alumni Association Board.
When she isn’t working as an attorney Guardian ad Litem, Jenny enjoys spending time with her husband and their six children. As a lifelong bibliophile, she is always sneaking time to read any book that catches her fancy.

Jenny is highly respected, particularly for her work as Guardian Ad Litem in contested custody matters. Having attended meditation training with her, I observed first-hand how articulate and bright she is. I would confidently recommend her and her firm for anyone seeking family law counsel in the Spartanburg area.
Elizabeth Hight, Child custody Attorney on Oct 27, 2016
Relationship: Worked together on matter
Jenny is one of the best Guardians ad Litem I have had the pleasure of working with. Divorcing families in South Carolina would be better off if we had more Guardians like Jenny. I gladly endorse her.

Jenny has been the guardian ad litem (GAL) on two of my cases. She is thorough, methodical, and conscientious. I wish all GALs did as good a job as she does.
