Meet expectatons through adversity
Mr. Silva was excellent about explaining my situation to me. My only complaint about Silva's service is that since I live 3000 miles away I was not properly informed. This problem I think was caused by lack of communication. Through this miscommunication Silva advocated for my to be seen by a judge d...
Kamal: I am sorry that you felt you were not kept informed. The problem with criminal charges is that the law requires the Office of the District Attorney to provide trial/docket notices ten days prior to the actual date. As such, our office must anticipate when you will have to travel. The Firm knew you would have to be present for your last court date ten days prior to the date. I wish we could have given you more time, but we were limited to what the law provides. In any event, your case is going to be dismissed . . . so I hope that makes up for the problem of communication.

Expensive DUI Attorney
The lawyer told me exactly what I wanted to hear. After all was said and done, I believe this firm is too overpriced with regards to handling a DUI. I was not informed of the option of performing community service or spending 24 hours in jail (community service was $200 more expensive). There was no ...
There is absolutely no way you were a client of mine. I suspect that you are an opposing party of some sort. Community service is $250.00 more, not $200 more so I don't think you were even involved with a DWI. When I have to plead someone guilty, or rather, when they choose to plead guilty, I always tell them that I recommend doing one day in jail over 24 hours of community service. I will go ahead and give out some trade secrets to further my proposition that you are not a client. I have literally created a checklist of issues to go over with my clients before the case is disposed. If you had a consultation with me, you would have known the checklist is there because I actually start filling it out with the client. Secondly, at the very first consult, I ask if you want to have a DMV hearing. I explain how they can come up and what to expect in the mail. Thirdly, my staff tells everyone about their court dates at least a week in advance . . . especially if they have to be there. Lastly, I tell everyone, and I mean EVERYONE that pleads guilty or is found guilty about the appeal. I tell them about this because it will set aside everything that has happened and start the slate clean. This is really what separates me from others. If you didn't like the judgment and you were a client, you would have had the opportunity to appeal. Messing with someone's reputation is dirty and I hope you understand that. This firm supports my wife and children. You may be upset because I beat you at some trial, but this is just a blow below the belt. This can only be the result of trauma inflicted upon you by others. I hope you find peace in your life and that my words impact your future behavior.

Unresponsive
Matt was very helpful in educating me as to the ins and outs of DSS when my son was taken from his mother into DSS custody. After traveling to NC from FL to the initial court hearing, Matt did not keep me informed of what was going on with the case and did not return my phone calls or emails. Meanwhi...
Ty, I am sorry you feel that way. I steadfastly disagree with your review. In DSS, my representation is limited to protecting your procedural rights during hearings. I do not represent your son and have never represented your son. Your son has two attorneys for you to blame if you don't like how his situation is turning out. Finally, as I said before, the code is protected by HIPAA. I am not entitled to the code and I cannot force anyone to give me or you the code.
