Excellent service

Having a past employment history in Law Enforcement, I have experienced a work relationship with a variety of Attorneys all over North Carolina. When I found myself on the other side of the court room I had no idea of how to handle my case. The Judge gave me Mr. Matthew Silva's business card, that r...ight there should have told me I was getting the best. Mr. Silva thoroughly explained things to me in detailed, told me my next step and offered his assistance in anything I needed. After meeting with Mr. Silva I saw things in a entirely different light and the stress eased off. Through the process I knew my case was in the best hands. I can not thank Mr. Silva enough for not only handling my case but keeping me informed every step of the way. Not one day passed that I had any doubt that he would prevail with the outcome we both wanted. He is very knowledgeable of the court room, Judges and the laws, which was vital to win any case. He conducted himself in a manor that the stress was lifted and I had no worries that in the right courtroom setting he would win. Life saver

Mr. Silva took the extra time to ensure that I received the best plea deal possible. I was facing 10 years and ended up with a 2 years of probation. I now have a future with my daughter and fiancé. Silva was the the best attorney I could have imagined.

It is incredibly difficult to minimize mandatory active sentences, but because of your hard work turning your life around, we were able to do it. I wish you the best with your future husband! Extremely Professional

Mr Silva accepted my case after our initial consultation and was very honest with the possible outcomes. After meeting with several attorneys in town, I left Mr Silva's office with the trust and confidence that he was the BEST attorney for my case! His knowledge of the entire judicial process was ver...y helpful in relieving my stress and concerns during a very worrisome time. Having never had any interactions with police or any type of law enforcement other than a couple of speeding tickets as a young driver. My family and I were deeply concerned when I was suddenly arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after a young taxi driver filed a complaint with the local magistrate (which apparently happens quite often in NC). A complaint to a magistrate (without any proof) is often all that is required to have an arrest warrant issued. To make a long story short, my case was eventually dismissed, thanks to Mr Silva's excellent attention to detail and his knowledge of NC law!! Unfortunately I have the privilege of sharing the experience of being handcuffed and taken to jail while my family (wife and 5 kids) and I were sitting down for dinner. I really appreciate Mr Silva and his ability in keeping this ridiculous situation from getting any worse!! I will definitely recommend him and his legal team to anyone who needs a strong advocate to help navigate the treacherous NC legal system.

Tom: Thank you for allowing us to handle this case. I know the alleged facts were spurious and I wish this sort of situation could be prevented. It is unfortunate that someone can swear out a warrant for such an egregious charge and have you arrested while in the middle of dinner with your family. I wish there was some way I could have gotten involved prior to your arrest. In any event, I am happy the charges were dismissed and that you and your family can move on with your life. Didn't give up

I hired Me Silva to represent me in a DWI case in Onslow Co. I had wrecked my motorcycle a block from my house. The police came to my house 1 1/2 hours after the wreck, as I was making calls to have the bike moved and myself taken to the hospital. I had a couple of beers in my own home during that ti...me, but they gave me a breath test anyway - in my own kitchen! I only blew a .07 then a .08.. but that was from two beers after the wreck - I was charged and arrested anyway. I hired Mr. Silva and he was very professional and very informative. I had moved back to Charlotte, so I have been 5 hours away from Jacksonville. Mr. Silva handled things for me and I didn't have to make the drive except one time. When we did not get the ruling we wanted in district court, Mr. Silva appealed my case to superior. Even though the case had dragged out over a year, he was still always diligent and available for any questions I had. Then today, he brokered a good plea bargain for me - again without me having to be there. This was very helpful, as I have my father's funeral to attend on Friday. Instead of a damaging DWI, I plead to the lower wreckless driving charge. Now, I can go to the DMV and have my license returned since that charge was dismissed today. It's my birthday today, and that news this morning was the best gift I could have received, hands down. I highly recommend him - and his office staff are always friendly and helpful. The Best

Got a serious Dui charge!! Charged with a .13 with kids in the car. Not good. Was looking at a minimum of 30 days in jail and lose of lisenece for a year. Mr silva made something happen that day in court that most lawyers wish they could do. I walked out of there with only 24 hrs community service an...d I am able to have a privilege licsence for a year , instead of loosing it totally for a year. I was shocked , my wife was shocked of how he worked the court house. He is truly great at what he does, and it was worth every penny!!No need to get a 2nd opinion, he will make it happen!
