Expungement

Mr. Silva is a kind, honest, open minded individual that did not hesitate to sit down with me and see if my case could be won. He was patient and answered all of my questions and listed in detail what we needed to get done in order for the expungement to happen. He worked tirelessly with his staff a...nd the DA office until finally we had a court date. He was a professional when in court and presented the facts only, he did not sugarcoat anything. In the end with him as my lawyer I received the expungement that I have been waiting for.

A cut above the rest

Last summer I was traveling down to Topsail, NC from my home state of WV. About an hour away, I arrived at one of the most sophisticated “check points” I’ve ever encountered, in the middle of nowhere might I add. I was asked to pull over, step out of the car, and submit to a breathalyzer test. I had ...had a couple of beers when I stopped to fuel up and grab a bite to eat, this resulted in me blowing a 0.08, which is the limit but in NC that’s a DWI on the spot. I couldn’t believe I found myself in handcuffs in BFE, needless to say the vacation was lackluster knowing that my life had just taken a turn for the worse. When I arrived back home I had countless letters from lawyers all over NC waiting for me. By total chance Matt Silva was the first and last lawyer I checked out on Avvo, and after reading pages of reviews, it sounded like Matt was a perfect fit to help me tackle this thing head on. A huge concern of mine was that I lived nearly 8 hours away in WV and there was no way I’d be able to continually make that trip to deal with things. I was very impressed with Matt Silva from our very first telephone consultation. He assured me that he would be able to show up on my behalf to court and file various continuances for me, until a final court date was set. He listened to every thing I had to say, never made me feel rushed, took as much time as was needed to comb through all details in my case, and ultimately made me feel a loads better about my situation. His fees were very reasonable and I was able to make payments each month until my balance was paid in full (this was huge, no way did I have that kind of money to put upfront all at once). I was always contacted when something was happening with the case and when the date for my trial was set. When it was finally time for me to head back down to Jones County, NC, I felt very prepared and in the loop as Matt took the time to once again go through everything with me and assured me that we had a good chance with our case. It wasn’t until I saw Matt in action, that I realized he was a cut above the rest and REALLY knew what he was doing in the courtroom. Ultimately we won and the charges were dropped against me!! Life changer in the biggest way, I was nearly speechless when the judge announced that he was siding with the defense. Granted I had about as good of a case as you could ask for when it comes to DWI charges, but it could have just as easily gone the other way for me if I had some less qualified lawyer. Matt Silva cares about your case and it shows from start to finish in the way that he handles the case - highly motivated to win - Matt I can’t thank you enough for everything that you did for me, you’re one hell of a lawyer. Misdemeanor

Matt Silva is a very diligent and competent lawyer. I am extremely lucky to have had him as my lawyer. He accomplished the optimal outcome: Case Dropped. Matt and his awesome team were always available to talk to me over the phone and were very responsive to my e-mails, always providing me with advic...e and peace of mind I needed. My case was probably one of his smaller cases, but he took the same time and commitment as if he we're dealing with one of his bigger cases. Life saver

Mr. Silva took the extra time to ensure that I received the best plea deal possible. I was facing 10 years and ended up with a 2 years of probation. I now have a future with my daughter and fiancé. Silva was the the best attorney I could have imagined.

Extremely Professional

Mr Silva accepted my case after our initial consultation and was very honest with the possible outcomes. After meeting with several attorneys in town, I left Mr Silva's office with the trust and confidence that he was the BEST attorney for my case! His knowledge of the entire judicial process was ver...y helpful in relieving my stress and concerns during a very worrisome time. Having never had any interactions with police or any type of law enforcement other than a couple of speeding tickets as a young driver. My family and I were deeply concerned when I was suddenly arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after a young taxi driver filed a complaint with the local magistrate (which apparently happens quite often in NC). A complaint to a magistrate (without any proof) is often all that is required to have an arrest warrant issued. To make a long story short, my case was eventually dismissed, thanks to Mr Silva's excellent attention to detail and his knowledge of NC law!! Unfortunately I have the privilege of sharing the experience of being handcuffed and taken to jail while my family (wife and 5 kids) and I were sitting down for dinner. I really appreciate Mr Silva and his ability in keeping this ridiculous situation from getting any worse!! I will definitely recommend him and his legal team to anyone who needs a strong advocate to help navigate the treacherous NC legal system.

Tom: Thank you for allowing us to handle this case. I know the alleged facts were spurious and I wish this sort of situation could be prevented. It is unfortunate that someone can swear out a warrant for such an egregious charge and have you arrested while in the middle of dinner with your family. I wish there was some way I could have gotten involved prior to your arrest. In any event, I am happy the charges were dismissed and that you and your family can move on with your life.
