Dismissed

Matthew Silva is an outstanding lawyer, the best in Jacksonville NC by far. He was able to get my case dismissed within a week after I was charged! I was looking at some serious consequences from this charge of assault. Me being in the military I couldn't have this interfere with my job, which could ...have resulted in me getting discharged. He assured me he could get it dismissed and that's what he did, and fast! Would definitely recommend him to anyone, and would choose him again in a heartbeat. Thank you again Mr. Silva!

Saved my sons future

Our 17 year old son found himself facing some potentially serious charges. He had never been in any trouble before and has been planning on going into the medical field via the military for some years now. These charges could have derailed those plans if not appropriately and expeditiously handled.... We went into Mr. Silvia's office scared and not knowing what to expect. Leaving our intial consultation we knew that our son was in good hands and that we could rest assured that Mr. Silvia would do all in his power to assure that our son could continue on with his plans in life without a criminal conviction. The case was handled quicker than expected and the entire case ended up being dismissed due to the experience and intimate knowledge Mr. Silvia has of the judicial system. Our son now has the opportunity to graduate high school this year and proceed forward with his life goals thanks to Mr. Silvia. I will highly recommend him to anyone I encounter who has legal needs.

It's Complicated

Upon recommendation from a family friend, we went to see Matt Silva and he was everything she said he was; professional, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. He answered our questions, emails and always made the time to see us even when he had no time. My sons case was very complicated but Mr. Sil...va agreed to take it on. I'm not sure it was what he expected, but he stuck it out with us til the very end. Several things came up during our case, making it very difficult, but Mr. Silva never gave up on us nor my son. The outcome was more than we ever anticipated or expected, much to our favor. I can't thank Mr. Silva enough, nor can we ever thank his devoted staff, Melissa and all the girls. They were always very kind, encouraging and always knew what was going on with our sons case. They kept us informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend Matt Silva. He will definitely push and find a way to get you the best outcome possible. We would definitely use him again, indeed if he would have us! Thank you for everything.

Kim: I really enjoyed working with you and your son. Every now and then I get a case like your son's and it is both a blessing and a frustrating event. In this situation, it was a blessing because your son is a good boy with a bright future who did nothing wrong. It was frustrating because it took months for someone at the DA's Office to realize that your son had done nothing wrong. Outstanding Service

Mr. Silva was able to win my case against a DWI charge, due to my situation it took a little bit of time, however, in the end, it was worth the wait.

A cut above the rest

Last summer I was traveling down to Topsail, NC from my home state of WV. About an hour away, I arrived at one of the most sophisticated “check points” I’ve ever encountered, in the middle of nowhere might I add. I was asked to pull over, step out of the car, and submit to a breathalyzer test. I had ...had a couple of beers when I stopped to fuel up and grab a bite to eat, this resulted in me blowing a 0.08, which is the limit but in NC that’s a DWI on the spot. I couldn’t believe I found myself in handcuffs in BFE, needless to say the vacation was lackluster knowing that my life had just taken a turn for the worse. When I arrived back home I had countless letters from lawyers all over NC waiting for me. By total chance Matt Silva was the first and last lawyer I checked out on Avvo, and after reading pages of reviews, it sounded like Matt was a perfect fit to help me tackle this thing head on. A huge concern of mine was that I lived nearly 8 hours away in WV and there was no way I’d be able to continually make that trip to deal with things. I was very impressed with Matt Silva from our very first telephone consultation. He assured me that he would be able to show up on my behalf to court and file various continuances for me, until a final court date was set. He listened to every thing I had to say, never made me feel rushed, took as much time as was needed to comb through all details in my case, and ultimately made me feel a loads better about my situation. His fees were very reasonable and I was able to make payments each month until my balance was paid in full (this was huge, no way did I have that kind of money to put upfront all at once). I was always contacted when something was happening with the case and when the date for my trial was set. When it was finally time for me to head back down to Jones County, NC, I felt very prepared and in the loop as Matt took the time to once again go through everything with me and assured me that we had a good chance with our case. It wasn’t until I saw Matt in action, that I realized he was a cut above the rest and REALLY knew what he was doing in the courtroom. Ultimately we won and the charges were dropped against me!! Life changer in the biggest way, I was nearly speechless when the judge announced that he was siding with the defense. Granted I had about as good of a case as you could ask for when it comes to DWI charges, but it could have just as easily gone the other way for me if I had some less qualified lawyer. Matt Silva cares about your case and it shows from start to finish in the way that he handles the case - highly motivated to win - Matt I can’t thank you enough for everything that you did for me, you’re one hell of a lawyer.
