Great Attorney and Very Professional

All I can say is Matt is awesome. He practically saved my life in a very serious situation. Without his professional help I would not be hear right now to right this review. He stopped a situation from getting out of hand and ruining several lives in the process. He was very helpful and non judge...mental throughout the entire process. No other lawyer would've been able to handle my situation the way he did. He actually prevented me from even being charged. I am sorry , but that is all of the details I can provide. Breath of relief

I met Mr. Silva over the phone in October 2016. I had just been in a serious single vehicle accident (I swerved into a ditch to avoid a collision). The state charged me with a litany of items, with a DWI and reckless driving being the most serious. I was in a wheelchair for four months, during which ...time Mr. Silva and his staff kept me posted on the case as it progressed. Now it is September 2017, and we finished trial. Mr. Silva and I were of one mind; this was a trial case from the beginning and we would not want to resolve this any other way. This morning, as soon as Mr. Silva stepped into the courtroom, he commanded the space. When we finally arrived at my case (3 pm), we brought up critical factors in my testimony and the officer's. Ultimately, I was found not guilty on 4/5 charges, and responsible for an infraction of exceeding safe speed (the other 1/5). Mr. Silva was an absolute godsend; if you're on the fence at all, don't be. He is a true professional.

Peace of Mind

Entering a Courtroom can be a very scary experience, Mr. Silva stepped in an took that fear away from us. My son was faced with multiple DWI charges while having prior convictions of the same. Every understanding that we had surrounding the consequences of his charges all resulted in him having to se...rve significant time incarcerated. As a result of Mr. Silva's experience in both private practice and in the District Attorneys office he was able to navigate the judicial process for us and delivered a result far beyond our greatest expectations. Since that time Matt has handled a number of other family concerns of which we have always been pleased with the results. As a long time resident of Onslow County I cannot think of a better attorney that I could recommend, and I often do. He is definitely in my opinion one of the top if not the best legal minds in the State.

Best lawyer in NC

My son hired Mr. Silva, he was looking at a significant amount of mandatory prison time. Mr. Silva worked his magic and my son only recieved probation. When I walked out of the court room I was one happy mama. I highly recommend anyone in legal trouble to hire Mr. Silva, he will always have your best... interest.

So amazing I've reviewed twice

I found my way back to mr. Silva's review page because of needing legal counsel again, and realized my prior review had not been posted. He is worth reviewing 10 times over, which is why he is the first attorney I searched for today. Mr. Silva is extremely knowlegable and has an awesome manner wi...th clients. He is also one of the rare attorneys in this area that isn't intimidated at the thought of fighting 'the system.' I was facing criminal charges due to a completely insane chain of events involving myself and my child, but he never made me feel judged when he easily could have. He explained his expectations clearly and concisely, and kept me informed of what to expect. Luckily in my case, over time more facts revealed themselves and I was able to show my innocence pretty easily, but he was willing to fight the whole way from the start. The day before my case was dismissed, he made time to meet with me at my request (very last minute, but he still made time!) in his office. He listened attentively, and I could tell that He wasn't having to shuffle through notes to remember the facts. (Shows He genuinely cares about his clients and their situation!) After patiently listening to all the new details, he gave me a quick and concise opinion of how it would change the case, then congratulated me on how I had conducted myself through the process, which I desperately needed to hear. He was still realistic, and told me that it may still take time to resolve. The next morning I got the phone call saying it had been dismissed, and I had never felt so relieved and thankful in my life. Another aspect i greatly appriciated was that after retaining his services I did not have to visit another court room. I never had to be worried id he'd show up or fight for me because his staff are amazing about reaching out to clients about any developments or legal dates. Mr. Silva put other attorneys I'd seen to shame on every level, from case expectations, client communication, legal knowledge, responsiveness and results. He is the best in his field in Onslow County and that's why he is worth the time of a lengthy review twice!
