The rudest most unprofessional and laziest lawyer I have ever experienced!
When stationed at Camp Lejuene more than 15 years ago I got a ticket before deployment to Iraq. I since returned and left North Carolina forgetting about the ticket. After getting a license from two separate states I moved to Georgia and realized Georgia would not give me a license because of a 15 year old ticket in North Carolina. I hired this lawyer to restore my driving privilege in North Carolina so I could get a drivers license in Georgia. She assured me if there was nothing more than the ticket she could get the ticket handled and my driving privilege restored. She got the ticket handled and notified me so. I went to Georgia DMV where they told me my driving privilege was not restored in North Carolina so I still couldn't get a license.
I called Houser, first she said for me to call North Carolina DMV because there must be another infraction. I called, DMV, from Georgia, and it turns out even though I paid her in advance she didn't pay the reinstatement fee. North Carolina DMV tells me that I need to arrive in person or have someone come in and pay, in person.
I called her back, explained the situation and she got downright nasty! She said, what do you expect from a 15 year old ticket? I was stunned! I offered to pay an additional fee just to get this cleared up. houser refused and got even nastier and said she only goes to court and not DMV! I was mortified and hung up the the phone.
Clearly this woman is in the wrong business!

I consulted with Amanda, most certainly did not hire. She is rude and extremely inconsiderate. I considered hiring her for a brief moment. I did my home work, and read her reviews, and they certainly speak for themselves. And I am absolutely positive that her rebuttal will be that I am a liar and don't know what I am talking about, as it is with any other complaint she receives. She is all about attorney.com and that's about all she is good for. I will never ever allow anyone to speak to me in that manner much less pay them for it. In her defense, she only has 5 years experience, or so her website says so, she still has a lot to learn about being a professional, and the good old saying, shut your pie hole, you are an embrassment to yourself.

I retained The Houser Law Firm to complete my divorce. My experience with the Houser Law Firm has been as bad as it can be. I asked for a refund of services not yet provided because I was deeply dissatisfied with the rude manner I was being treated. This refund policy is plainly stated on their website. I was denied my refund. Ms. Houser called me and accused me of lying about the way her staff had treated me. I still have not gotten my refund or my divorce. I am deeply unhappy with the poor service and treatment I received. I would never recommend her services to anyone.

The Houser Law Firm did an amazing job handling my divorce. The process was very simple and the office staff was available to me every step of the way. As the website states, you fill out the necessary forms and they handle the rest - simple as that. The office response to my emails was always prompt. I will definitely be recommending the Houser Firm.

Not sure how this will handle yet. Went through the process of the complaint divorce form so I'm ready to go just need to pay for my divorce. The service seems ok. A few times someone at that law firm got really rude to me because I ask alot of questions and don't understand. This is my first divorce. I feel like they should email me back more often with more specific answers and I went a month a one time emailing them and getting no response until yesterday finally. not meaning I emailed them for a whole month. I don't know if I ever spoke to Amanda so can't say. I'm sure she does her job the best she can. I'm iffy about paying for the divorce and lose my money or not get my divorce. I have trust issues because companies etc took my money before and I never heard back from them or never got what I paid for. Dealt with alot of scammers. I want to go through houser law firm for my divorce and stop being nervous about not getting divorced or something coming up or get jipped I guess u can say lol. I'm giving it a 3 star because I don't know yet how this will turn out but I hear good things and Lawyers are busy. So Amanda may be just right may be giving a 5 star soon.

Amanda writes very clearly and concisely. She will spell things out for you so even those ignorant of "legalese"/legal terms will understand. I have read up on divorce laws, but she helped me understand the complexities of "separation". I have only used her for a question on Avvo, but when I'm able to get divorced provided it remains uncontested, I will call her.
Also, I noticed people who were "unhappy" with some of the things Amanda said to them. No one talks to a lawyer when things are going well. If you're talking to Amanda, you are probably in a pickle. No one likes to hear the hard truth especially when the truth violates preconceived notions and/or is detrimental to their aim. Amanda is very courteous and respectful, but I think it is unreasonable to expect to be coddled by a lawyer. The law is -reason- free from passion. -Aristotle

To start off I will say this was a very difficult case that came at a horrible time for me right as I was getting out of the military and moving back to Tennessee. Attorney houser kept me as informed as she could with a couple misunderstandings on my part she still worked past it and got beyond amazing results for me would definitely recommend her for any case she will cover and just a side not she is still nice enough to help me withy things as I try to get my restricted license here in Tennessee amazing work ethics and very courteous staff all in all I was very pleased with how everything turned out thanks to her hard work for me

I was very nervous when learning about this law firm, primarily because I am a worry wart and constantly afraid of getting swindled. I was very relieved to find that they were great and I was reassured with all of the information Amanda's law firm provided.
I didn't have to go to court.
I paid for the divorce and got it!
I didn't have to worry about messing anything up by doing it myself.
It was painless, easy, etc.
They have a rush fee, which does really work.
The price is fantastic!
The office staff is hit or miss. That is, some will respond, some won't.
I never spoke to Amanda personally. In fact, the office staff informed me most people don't and that they handle the communication. That being said, I imagine Amanda herself is rather busy handling a large amount of case loads.
Overall, I say it is worth the price and lack of worry to use Attn. Houser. Got my decree in the mail today and am super happy about it.

I would most certainly not recommend her to anyone what so ever. She was nice at first when my husband met her but after that we couldn't get ahold of her at all. She was either busy or not in her office. We've had our case go on for 7 months now and we can't get ahold of her to find anything out about our case. We've left her multiple phone calls and left messages with her reception lady for a call back but no phone call. I'm very mad at the fact that we have already paid her in full and she can't do her job. How is it hard to call your client back to give them the information they need?
