Robert Paul D'Arruda

What was once held in the dark, shall soon come to light. Beyond a reasonable doubt, Attorney D' Arruda is the worst of the worst trial attorneys in the State of Wisconsin. First, Attorney D' Arruda was appointed by the public defender's office to represent me, and they assured me that I would be wel...l represented. That of course was a lie. Second, Attorney D' Arruda conducted no investigation in my criminal case. He never interviewed me regarding the circumstances of my case. Nevertheless, he filed a motion for discovery, which he never disclosed the contents to his client. A reasonable train attorney verse in the law would have shared some information with his client. The worst of me nightmare came when Attorney D' Arruda stated, in his client's face, the prosecution is about to convict an innocent man. He was right. after trial, I filed complaints after complaints with the Office of Lawyer Regulation who did absolutely none thing. It comes to the point that Attorney D' Arruda actively conspired with the prosecutor, who had no sufficient evidence, to convict an innocent black man. So I ask, would a reasonable attorney have done the same thing? By far, if the action of Attorney D' Arruda goes unchecked, innocent black males are sentence to prison for crimes they did not commit in violation of their 13th Amendment right. I have reasons to believe other attorneys were and are aware of Attorney D' Arruda's actions, but turn a blind eye. This type of misconduct must be stop because innocent lives are being ruin. I ask anyone who have more information regarding Attorney D' Arruda's actions to come forward. The Office of Lawyer Regulation must not continue to condone this type of attorney's actions.

He has no professionalism He there for the money he was hire to represent my son in a legal matter he stated I will call you after his court dates. . because I did not live in Milwaukee the only line of commucation that I had for my son was thru D'Arruda see how things went in court. I wait for ...D'Arruda to call me I waited and waited;I call and call with no avail he never answer his phone it took me two weeks for him to contact me back I found out about the web site WCC and would go on line to find out his next court date and the charges and what happen.and when my son called I would ask him have you seen the attorney he said no. So this day he return my call and I ask him have you seen my son he stated I just left him he lied I just had gotten off the phone with my son. I said well he said he had not seen you. and he change I'm going to see him. I told him I have left you voice mails and you not once return a phone call I called you two weeks straight to your voice mail.(unprofessional). I had sent my son cards and letters and they were return so I called the Jail they informed me that he had been moved.I called D'Arrtuda as to when was he moved well he was not aware not surpise about that. He had no knowledge about it so words was passed between him an I because I felt that this is something that as his attorney he shoud have known. In March 2012 we came to Milwaukee to bail my son out we spoke with and told him what Hotel we were staying at he meet us at the hotel. We follow him to the bank which located in Downtown Milwaukee to pay him the balance and get a cashier check for the for my son we follow him to the courts. We arrive at the court he took us inside and told them that we were there for bail he said that it would be 40 minutes to and hour he would be released; Well that did not happen we were there for 9 hours. And it was told that a hold had been placed on him I ask when was the hold placed I was informed that it came into place in August 2011. I could not belive that he was not aware of this hold. He could have done more than he did in my son denfense in when he was sentence he said a few words nothing that had any merit. I sould not understand that an appeal was to be file before the 9th January I had to hire another attorney. His last words that I will file the appeal call him and call him and he lied. He did not call any witness he did not changelle the DNA that was present as my son; He did not represent my son he has lied from the date he was hired. Not one word of truth has came out of his mouth he would have done better with a monkey and a can. Have been asking for the Discovery my son sign that I get the Discovery; I have written him letters made calls to him with no avail.
