In August 2011 I was charged with a DWI. Along with the DUI charge were charges of speeding in excess of 100mph and failure to maintain lane control. There were injuries involved and reported BAC of .19. Although it was a first time offense, the aggravating circumstances potentially meant jail time... and the loss of driving privileges for two years. The ultimate outcome of the trail was not guilty on all charges. Based upon the evidence provided by the state, Bill was able to argue convincingly to the judge that the prosecution could not provide proof beyond reasonable doubt that I was guilty. Watching Bill work during the hour and a half long trial was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen. His knowledge of DUI laws and law in general is impeccable. His arguments and counters were as if he knew exactly what the prosecution was going to say before they did. It was a year and a half before the case actual went to trial but during the entire process, Bill and his team was very responsive to my questions and empathetic to my concerns during that time frame. I had gotten to a point where I felt dejected enough that I was ready to not see another continuance and just get it behind me but Bill encouraged me to keep my chin up and trust him to do his job.
