About me

I have wanted to be in the courtroom since middle school. I joined the Mock Trial team while attending Fort Mill High School and have been a litigator ever since. After graduating high school I attended the university of South Carolina –Upstate.

Finishing up my education I decided to return to my hometown area by enrolling in the Charlotte School of Law. There I was fortunate enough to captain the school’s trial team and led them to become one of the top four teams in the country. Having worked in the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s office and Union County District Attorney’s office I am more than qualified to handle both your criminal and civil matters.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.

  1. Reprimand
    issued in NC, 2015

Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Stephen’s comment: “This particular client had become increasingly violent and abusive to my staff, and I terminated his contract. The North Carolina Bar found no issues with the substance of the work but issued a letter of reprimand based on how the relationship with the client was ended. We have outstanding relationships with clients as evidenced by our significant amount of positive reviews. This was the first time I've had a client become violent towards my staff and I've better learned how to address it.”
