About Herbert

I was injured in a car accident while a law student and learned the hard way how the insurance companies treat the victims who need their help the most. From that point on I put the practice of tax law behind me and decided to exclusively handle cases involving personal injury. I saw firsthand how the insurance companies treated people and knew that I could have a major impact on the lives of my clients.

 

I have been practicing injury law in North Carolina for over 20 years. I am married and have two sons (and three dogs). My law practice is a major part of my life where I work with some exceptional people including my wife who is also a personal injury attorney. She worked with the insurance carriers early on in her career and brought an invaluable insight into their inner workings to our practice.

 

I am an avid skier, biker and hockey player. I work out regularly at a local Crossfit and am active in my Church and my sons' Boy Scout troop. I have also been active in the community with coaching of a local middle school football team and helping with one of our local high school Rugby programs.

After I got rear ended at the beginning of my final year of Nursing School, I reached out to Auger and Auger. I was actually referred by another client of theirs who assured me they would help me. My schedule was already so busy, I was stressed about doctors visits, hospital bills ect... Well fortunately for me they handled everything from finding me a doctor for my injuries, my bills from the emergency room and all contact with the insurance agency. Actually the first time I even had to come to theIr office was when the settlement was released. I can’t thank them enough, I can’t image how I would have made it through such a hard time without their assistance. I highly recommend!

I can't thank this law firm enough for the wonderful service they delivered to our family. After the awful motorcycle accident injury my son suffered in Asheville NC last year, we just didn't know what to do, until we called Auger & Auger law. Herb Auger had a lot of knowledge from previous incidents that were similar to mine and this knowledge proved to be helpful for my case. He collected information and worked with multiple insurance companies to ensure I received compensation. He's very amicable as a person and lawyer, he knows when to be a lawyer but he has no problem giving friendly advice. He worked quickly and he is very easy to contact. I am also impressed with how quickly he settled my case considering the severity. I can say with confidence that Mr, Auger exceeded my expectations and I couldn't feel any safer now that I have this settlement. I am able to go snowboarding and know that I have the option of getting a knee replacement down the road if necessary but for now I can get back to classes and live carefree.

I've never contacted a lawyer before regarding an accident. I had no idea on what to expect and how long the process would be. Auger and Auger staff emailed me weekly and called to check on my health. All of my questions was answered and staff was always friendly. I felt like I was being supported throughout this process. I wasn't haggled by insurance companies and my claim was handled quickly and I was satisfied with my experience... thank you Auger and Auger for making this overwhelming experience easier to deal with.
