Highly Recommended Attorney

I contacted Ms. Billick regarding a family matter. Not only was she compassionate and understanding of my issues, her staff went above and beyond to answer questions. I couldn't have asked for a better trial attorney. She kept me abreast of everything going on and was spot on when it came to the t...imeline of the case and what I should expect. I will highly recommend Ms. Billick.

Couldn't be More Pleased

Having to have an attorney is bittersweet, no matter what. No one WANTS to have to have an attorney, especially to end their marriage. But having someone as communicative and sympathetic and Amber and her team made me at least feel like I had a support system. No matter how much I want my ex to be... fair and reasonable....no one else can MAKE him a good person, and no one else can change the fact that I had kids with him. All they can do is follow the law, fight for my rights, and try to get me through this difficult time and I could not be happier with my team.

Should this be brought to the Bar?????

I hired this attorney to fight the battle of my life with an abusive ex-husband. I felt she did not communicate well. In one court appearance, I sat watching her walk around without even making eye contact while I was sitting there. I was uninformed, did not know where I should be or what to do. I di...d not know what was going on. I tried to explain I needed more communication, that I had left voice messages, sent e-mails and did not get a response. I was frightened and running out of money without any support except for an attorney who had my last funds and would not talk to me. In my opinion, this is not the way an attorney should make their client feel during representation.

Possibly the worst lawyer in NC

I went through a divorce case in Concord a couple of years ago. Ms. Billick did not do a discovery on my ex-spouse. She was supposed to represent me for the arbitration part. She didn't even contact me to let me know that the arbitration had been postponed. Image my surprise finding this out a day be...fore I thought this was going to take place. After finding this out, I had no recourse but to fire her. Her lack of communication puts her on the cusp of violating the code of ethics set forth by the NC bar association.

Mr. T - I am sorry you were unhappy with the circumstances of your divorce. As I have tried to explain to you in the past, you seem to be confused about the process you were going through. Arbitration was never a part of your case (and is not a part of the majority of family law cases). You made your claim with the State Bar, which was rightfully dismissed after the investigating body actually looked into the truthfulness of your allegations. I hope that you are doing well and that your case was resolved to your satisfaction.
