For more than 18 years, I have been honored to help clients through what is often the most difficult time of their lives, whether it is related to a divorce or a child custody or support dispute. My practice style is “hands-on” and I don’t take the cookie cutter approach. Instead, I prefer to work with my client to decide the most effective means of resolving the legal problem.
In 2011, I was certified as a Family Law Specialist by the NC Board of Legal Specialization. This designation requires a peer review process and successful completion of an exam similar to the bar exam but exclusively in the area of family law.
The practice area of family law includes a wide variety of legal issues such as divorce, adoption, child custody, child support, alimony and marital fault, equitable distribution (marital property), military family issues, domestic violence, collaborative family law, and other legal matters.
Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.
