Matthew D. Pineda, Esq. is an associate attorney with Brock & Scott, PLLC in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina. He holds licenses to practice law in the state courts of North Carolina and Florida, the federal courts of the Northern District, Middle District, and Southern District of Florida and Eastern and Middle Districts of North Carolina, the Cherokee Supreme Court and the United States Tax Court. At the firm, Matt concentrates on creditor's rights, foreclosure, collections and real estate matters. Before joining the firm, Matt served as litigation and mediation attorney for major banks, lenders and mortgage servicers in the State of Florida. Matt represented banks both in court and in mediations.
Matt is currently attending Duke University School of Law, where he is working on completing his LL.M. in Law & Entrepreneurship. He received his LL.M. degree in Taxation Law from The University of Miami School of Law, graduating with a certificate in International Tax. He attended the Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree. At NSU Law, Matt was named a Leo F. Goodwin, Sr. Scholar, receiving a full tuition merit scholarship for the duration of law school. He was also a recipient of the Excellence for the Future Award and multiple Dean’s List Honors during law school. Matt received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Miami. At the University of Miami he was named a Henry King Stanford Scholar and received academic honors in eight consecutive semesters. Matt was also a University of Miami student-athlete on the University of Miami Men’s Varsity Rowing Team.
