We hired Ann to help us with an issue we were having with our daughter's IEP. Our district was not providing us services, and Ann and her office helped us file the complaint to our district. After that, she went through all the different approaches we could take to deal with our district detailing, the advantages, risks, and cost associated with each. When we had our resolution meeting with the district, we elected not to have her in the meeting since it meant the district could not bring a lawyer either. However, Ann detailed exactly how the meeting would go and helped us organize all our paperwork and information for the meeting. During the meeting, we felt confident and prepared, in fact, we felt more prepared than the district. The outcome of the meeting was that the district gave us everything we asked for including costs accrued. This was a slow and stressful process, so it was very helpful to have Ann and her team walking us through each step of the way. She was very knowledgeable on the aspects of the law that surrounded our complaint and that helped us greatly to advocate confidently for ourselves. I would highly recommend Ann if you have any issues surrounding educational disability laws.

I was a client of Ann Paradis from November of 2015-March 2016. I had received an unfortunate and wrongful dismissal from a graduate school academic program in October of 2015 and sought Ann's legal assistance. Ann was clear with me in the beginning that the school had committed a number of violations and that she would help me fight for justice. These violations included mistreatment, retaliation, and denial of due process rights. I noticed that after I had agreed to hire Ann, it became more and more difficult to get a hold of her via phone or email. On two occasions, she sent out letters to the school with multiple errors before receiving my approval. She seemed very irritated that I did not approve of this. I had put in a great deal of time organizing my documents and evidence that were pertinent to the case, but I never got the feeling that she thoroughly reviewed them. After spending three weeks drafting a letter for Ann's review with the help of a family attorney, Ann unexpectedly sent me an email, stating she was declining to provide any more legal assistance. She refused to even read the letter that I had spent so much time on. Now, I must hire another attorney and pay another hefty fee just to get them on board with my case. I would be extremely hesitant to hire Ann as your attorney for any matter.

Ann Paradis took the time to listen to my story. She approached it with an open mind during a time in my life when I felt hopeless and trapped by my situation. I had hit a point where nothing was goin my way and I was preparing to accept major life changes that I thought to I didn't deserve. I did not know what to expect when I met with her but the results were better than I could have ever imagined, especially considering my situation was worse than I ever could have imagined. After she evaluated everything there was to look at, she took an interest in my case and an interest in helping me get back to where I needed to be. She kept me informed. She was thoughtful but direct in her advisement. She does not waste time or money. Her command of language is phenomenal. Her ability to draw just conclusions that are backed up by law allowed me to get back on my feet and continue to follow my dreams. She is a subject matter expert when it comes to education law and I believe her to be one of the most fair and balanced people I have ever met.

I see all these good reviews and im shocked because I questioned why she was in family law. She didnt seen to put her all at fighting for my family. Also when I had a court hearing she wasnt prepared and didn't have a very inportant document. I felt cheated and had the nerve to bill me even after I called her out on the things she didn't do.

Ann and her paralegal Ariana did a bang up job with my case. I never felt over-billed for their services and always thought the quality of work was very high. I'm hoping my issues with my daughter's mother will never arise again, but if they do, Ann will be getting more business from me.
Thanks Ann! - Jimmy

My daughter needed attorney representation and advice in a child support matter. Fortunately, our search resulted in Ms. Paradis as our attorney of choice. While her schedule necessitated a short wait, the wait was very worthwhile.
After Ms. Paradis accepted my daughter's case, things went very smoothly, and resulted in the outcome we were in search of.
Given Ms. Paradis' experience and credentials, and the quality of her representation in my daughter's case, I heartily recommend retaining her for any areas of law in which she practices.
Thank you, Ann for the help you and your staff provided us in this matter.

Ann is a friendly and compassionate attorney. She is very patient and knowledgeable. She listens carefully and gives solid guidance. If your child is struggling, don't wait to give Ann a call. My daughter is now in a great school, is happy and feels like she has a future again! Thanks, Ann!

I had a consultation & went over the things that had been going on over the past 2 years, with my son that is 12 years old now in Middle school in Johnston County. She was very understanding, polite, very nice. Very informative to me, as I have been doing things by the rules & laws according to special needs children in public school. She told me my choices, what she could do to assist or help me. How much it can run into and how much she needed to take on my sons case to represent us. She let me know that she would be glad to help me in any way possiable! Very good communication from the 1st time I contacted her office. I will highly recommend her!

I hired this attorney when I separated from my spouse. She and her assistant were so kind and put me at ease. I felt so much better having their help and guidance with composing a separation agreement. This attorney listened to my needs, made good suggestions, gave good advice, and was genuninely concerned for my well-being and that of my child.

I contacted Ann in September of 2013 after a terrible IEP meeting with my local school district. My daughter was diagnosed with ADHD and was held back for another year of kindergarten. We wanted to get her qualified for special education services under Other Health Impairment (OHI). The school denied our request! Ann was able to identify multiple procedural problems with the school’s IEP process. She also pointed out that my daughter’s ADHD contributed to her being held back. As the school was trying to say my daughter did not need special education services because she was currently doing well in 1st quarter of kindergarten. My daughter attends a year round school so she only has 2 weeks off between the end of the last school year and the start of the current school year. It was as if all of my daughter’s educational problems were cured during 2 weeks of summer vacation!
Ann did a thorough job of reviewing a lot of paperwork related to our case. She communicated with us and the school district on a regular basis. The end outcome so far is Ann was able to get us a “do over” on my daughters IEP. I would highly recommend Ann as an educational lawyer.
