About me

Katie Fulk Hinds is a native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Analysis and Wake Forest University School of Law.  She was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in August 2008 and is currently licensed to practice in all state courts in North Carolina and in federal court in the Middle District of North Carolina.

Katie has worked at Surratt & Thompson since 2008, with experience in the areas of criminal and traffic defense, civil litigation, estate planning, probate, estate and guardianship litigation, and disability in Forsyth, Davie, Stokes, Surry, and Davidson counties.

Katie has handled hundreds of trials between all her practice areas.  She is a strong litigator and a passionate advocate for her clients in and out of the courtroom.

Katie volunteers as a coach for the high school mock trial team at Calvary Baptist Day School, helping to trian the next generation of young lawyers while keeping her own advocacy skills sharp.  Katie and her husband are members and Bible study leaders at Calvary Baptist Church.  In her spare time, Katie enjoys playing tennis, reading, and spending time with her husband.
