No good lawyer

My case should have been easy for him . I was a domestic violence victim that's it. I had already beat the charges in family court in Randolph county, yeah that's exactly what I'm still charged with in a higher court because he didn't even bring it up that those charges were already beat. Fill out th...em to bring up a prior case that I have already done my time for. Charged over $14,000 for nothing. I did all the work on my case, he wouldn't even take it to supreme Court because he wanted me to pay him more instead of just helping me and still charging me and I would eventually paid him he wasn't helpful at all during that situation. The foster parents were doing only fans he didn't even bring it up in the courtroom, but yet he wanted to charge me for all of that information that where he got it off of the internet. The one thing I told him not to tell me the day of court is the one thing he did. He talks a good talk he can't walk the walk. I had considered him someone who was going to help me, when I called him later on years later all he cared about was oh will you still owe me this money. Yes I know and I'd be more willing to pay more than the $5,000 I already have and keep paying if he was willing to work with me but instead he wouldn't even help me get my child back after the foster parents were charged with abuse and neglect. He doesn't care about his customers he doesn't care about his clients he cares about his pocket. He should have been able to sue the state with my case if he wanted money that bad but no, because he didn't try to help. You would think with him having a child the same age as my little boys . He would have tried because that's all he had to do

Horrible Experience.

My husband and I hired Phil Isner for a custody arrangement. Phil and his staff are extremely unorganized and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard them say “He’ll give you a call ASAP” and he never called. We are actually waiting on a return phone call now and have been since Feb 18, 2021. We c...alled multiple times daily for multiple days in a row and could never reach anyone. When we did get through to someone, his secretary answered our questions and when she couldn’t, we got the signature “He will call you” and he never did. We wasted $2700 on this attorney and hope that nobody else does the same!

“Most botched case I’ve ever seen.”

After my case began going south for no reason i sought the help of a more experienced attorney. Initially, when i met for a consultation, the attorney did not believe the wood works that this lawyer had allowed. Simple statue of limitations was suppose to be applied to my case however this lawyer did... not even MENTION the standard law that would apply in my specific case. After my new attorney seen the evidence and reviewed my case they stated “this is the most botched case i have ever seen in my 30+ years of experience.” I paid 12k just to undo what this so called incredible lawyer did. I would not recommend Phil. A person who can read the law will do a better job representing than Phil does.

Not getting anything done

After promising to complete within the week what had been discussed, 6 months went by with absolutely nothing done. Repeated phone calls and messages left without a response. I was told a letter had been sent out as discussed and was told I would get a copy of what was sent. I never did obtain a copy... even after requesting it twice so no way to tell the work was done. After another four months I was told something would be done but again wasn't. When he goes to Charleston during legislature sessions, it has been impossible to get any information regarding my case as no one seems to know anything and he is not available himself. It was a big mistake to retain him, and very expensive as he required retainer fees of course up front but without any work put in.

I wish I could give him a 0-stars

I hired Mr. Isner to represent an inmate at a hearing. He agreed to review the case, meet with the client, contact the Parole Board on his behalf regarding improprieties from his last hearing, prep him for his upcoming hearing, and to attend the hearing with him. After the initial meeting, there wa...s no further contact. Neither I nor the client was informed that he would not fulfill his terms of the agreement: no letter, no prep, no attendance at the hearing, and no notice of his intent to not represent.
