  • So what would happen if you were facing trial on your first offense ever assault 3 and the person pressing charges doesn't show?

I have never been charged or convicted of anything before this and i had already spent 17 days in jail for the charges before the trial.

    Gregory’s Answer

You could move to have it dismissed at that point. The state could ask for more time to find their vic and the court may well grant it.

  • I have been sentenced to pay the court money by a certain day and it has been two years and i still haven't paid it and we go

back to court tomarrow. I have 18 months suspended time but i am trying not to go to jail because i am a single mother and i have a job and i will be able to pay the money in 2 months. what will happen

    Gregory’s Answer

Well you can have a problem in court. You have had two years to pay this! But, if you have had no or very little income you perhaps can get a bit of understanding from the court. If you do not have a lawyer ask that the court to give you a Public Defender to help with this matter.

without being booked in that facility? There has to be civil rights that protect, be it race related or plain ethics that protect people from such interactions? Could you help with this question please?

    Gregory’s Answer

    Sir:
I do not mean to sound flip but it takes time to transport a person from one state to another. It sounds like a short rest-stop to me. When you land in the receiving state take with your lawyer.
