My family hired him to assist us in handling our parent's finances because we knew in the near future our father would have to go into a nursing home. Mr. Lord assured us he knew the ins and outs of dealing with Medicaid and how to protect our parents assets. We were told the process could take 6-8 weeks for his firm to take care of everything. We paid him $6K of our parents hard earned money. At first we tried to give him the benefit of the doubt as to why we hadn't heard anything from him as far as the status of the work he was supposed to be doing for us. Finally, after close to a year and us having to initiate contact with him for updates the work was done. When the time came for our father to be admitted to a nursing home and the actual Medicaid application needed to be done Mr. Lord did meet our family at the Medicaid office where we told ALL of the work he had done was wrong. The following day my sister called his office to ask what was being done to correct things and was told by a staff member that when he returned to the firm following our appointment he told them everything was fine. Not only has he taken $6K from my parents, but his bad advice has also cost them to lose over half of their money that was in IRA's. We have yet to hear I'm sorry or anything at all. Whenever we called his office to speak with someone he nor his secretary are ever in.
