Ms. Waugh graduated with a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in Houston, Texas in 2000. She is licensed to practice law in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. She also holds a Masters Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas-Health Science Center in Houston, Texas. Ms. Waugh originally focused her legal practice on Health Care Law and Policy issues. She worked for the law firm of Vinson & Elkins in Washington, D.C. before moving with her family to Lynchburg, VA in 2004. She now focuses on family law issues with an emphasis on the legal needs of women and children. Ms. Waugh has also been the co-Founder and CEO of Elcare Innovations, Inc., Trainikins, Inc., and ScopeCo, Inc. Ms. Waugh's volunteer experience includes the Lynchburg Chapter of the American Red Cross (Former Board Chair and Interim Executive Director), Region 2000 Technology Council (Board Member), Junior League of Lynchburg, Greater Lynchburg Alpha Phi Alumni Chapter (Past President), Centenary United Methodist Church (Board of Trustees, Staff Parish Relations Committee, Missions Committee), United Methodist Committee on Relief (former volunteer in Armenia), and Certified CPR Instructor. Ms. Waugh is married to Lt. Col. Bryan "Marty" Waugh (Ret.), and they have adopted two beautiful children.
