Had my 300 hour consultation with Lisa and her assistant Darious, which lasted all of maybe 20 minutes. Was told to contact Darious if EEOC took complaint and he would take 40 %. With government shut down and the trama of the job situation and a travel disaster it was months later. She specifically... wrote I had 180 days to file. When I did contact I was told to sign a contract that was being emailed and pay 1000 deposit and would be paying hourly. I thought there was truly just an error since the name the receptionist spoke of was not recognized by me, I emailed Lisa directly. Her reply was "May take…or may not. …it has been since November and we get to recalibrate. This is a business. Your case is better for us to take hourly. And probably for you too. Regardless that is my decision. I don’t know why you are arguing when I get to make that decision and you get to find someone who will do it on a contingency. My notes only say we may. Again let us know if you need any referrals. The EEOC has pages of attorneys." I did reply and said yes if she did know of someone....to which there was no reply.
