We did an international adoption (from Bangladesh) last year. Bangladesh laws do not allow adoption, only grant guardianship to its citizen. I obtained guardianship of a minor from the Family Court of Bangladesh. Adoption has to be finalized here in Virginia. So I hired Ms. Colleen. Before hiring, I ...contacted about half a dozen lawyers - her fees were lowest. I sent all the documents from Bangladesh to her office. You can imagine how much documents I am talking about! Most of the documents were in Bengali, but translated in English. Her staff read them thoroughly, and patiently. She put together the petition which has approved by the Court without additional documents from Bangladesh.
