I retired from the US Army as a Judge Advocate (Attorney). I decided to start the next chapter of my life as a solo practitioner because I believe that I can truly help clients who are, oftentimes, experiencing some of the most difficult times in their lives: faced with criminal charges, criminal investigations, ending a marriage, child custody disputes, property division, personal injury, property damage and a host of other difficult circumstances.
I believe strongly in keeping the client informed about the developments in his or her legal matter. I believe one of the most important things an attorney can do for a client is to keep them informed; whether it is good news or bad news, the client needs to know.
I don't desire to operate a large practice. I like to keep things simple. I am in this business because I enjoy the work that I get to do for clients, and I genuinely believe in serving my clients in the same way that I served Soldiers as an attorney and officer in the US Army.
The most fulfilling work that I did in the Army was to defend Soldiers at courts-martial or administrative discharge hearings. The Army's Defense Attorneys have an unofficial motto of "Defending Those Who Defend Us," and I genuinely believed in this. Being charged with a crime doesn't mean you are a bad person, it means you need legal counsel. Let me help you get through this difficult period.
I want to get to know my clients in order to truly understand the circumstances they are in and provide the best advice and representation that I can.
