We could not recommend Alex von Fricken more highly. Mr. von Fricken helped us with a complex tenant-landlord case. He provided us a clear and well-reasoned approach to managing a difficult relationship with a landlord. He handled all communications with landlord’s representative as we attempted to... get hazardous conditions remedied amicably. At the same time, he ensured our legal position was preserved under the newly-enacted changes to the Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act (VRLTA). He laid the groundwork, step-by-step, to ensure our Tenant's Assertion case was well documented and on the strongest legal footing. He was patient and ever available to advise on a myriad of challenging house conditions that seemed to be endless. When it came time to litigate the case, Mr. von Fricken was a fantastic. He guided us through the development of a timeline and supporting exhibits, identifying which elements were the most significant to the legal argument and laying aside others that - while upsetting-were not as relevant. During the three-hour trial, he maintained a pleasant demeanor while eviscerating the defendant’s case. While issuing the verdict in our favor, the judge was complementary to both attorneys. However, we were the ones that exited the courtroom with smiles on our faces:)
