Nichole Patterson is a seasoned litigator and trained mediator who has focused her practice on domestic relations and bankruptcy law. She is a member of the District of Columbia and State of Maryland bars, as well as the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
For nearly a decade Ms. Patterson has tried family cases throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is experienced in handling high conflict divorces, contested custody disputes, establishing and modifying child support, equitable distribution of assets, civil protection orders and adoption.
After finishing law school and extensive clinical experience at the David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia, Ms. Patterson lent her skills to Neighborhood Legal Services, a non-profit legal services company, providing representation to low income residents of the District of Columbia.
As an associate at Regan and Associates, Chartered, she continued as a family law practitioner, while expanding her practical experience to Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies, as well as probate administration of small and large estates and civil litigation.
Ms. Patterson has a strong public interest background providing pro bono and low bono child custody representation to domestic violence victims and serving as the court appointed special advocate for children adjudicated as abused and neglected in Maryland.
Ms. Patterson has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Maryland.
