I hired Marcia, because I knew she is the best. I learned a lot from her. She told me things I didn't want to hear at the time, but quickly "got." As a woman, she has been a mentor, she molded me as a "divorced woman," and now my ex-husband and I are friends and co-parenting our kids is mutually our first priority. Marcia's "philosophy" is that divorce is a new start and you and your ex (if you have children) have a lifelong relationship, whether you like it or not.. She believes strongly in mediation and makes it work, for both sides. Absolutely the best..

Mrs. Maddox was a takeover attorney for my custody case. Hiring her was one of the best decisions I ever made as a father. During the few court hearings we had before the case settled, Mrs. Maddox was quite impressive to watch. She came to court prepared, and it showed in the way she argued the motions and in the way that the hearings were decided in my favor. Mrs. Maddox's reputation and legal abilities apparently were such that opposing counsel suddenly (two days before the first scheduled trial date) claimed to be suffering from "a recurrence of Lyme disease" and requested a postponement.
If I hadn't been paying for it and the safety of my children were not on the line, I probably would have thoroughly enjoyed watching the way the case played out.
Long after the final settlement in the case, the custody and child support orders Mrs. Maddox was able to negotiate for me continue to work. There are provision in the orders that that I am only now beginning to appreciate with time. She thought of everything. She appreciates the issues that can arise with visitation as children get older and anticipates these issues in her draft orders.
My children are living with me and are thriving and I give much of the credit for this outcome to Mrs. Maddox. She is an amazing advocate.
