Great Attorney

My tenants were not paying their rent and were refusing to vacate my property. The management company to which I entrusted my property while I was overseas kept charging a monthly fee but did not collect the rent. Seven months in with no rent money and an exploitative management company, it was beyond time to find a lawyer! I found Mr. Steven Krieger’s blog post regarding the eviction process in Virginia. I was impressed by the level of detail he provided and the clear, concise way he presented information on the topic (he was certainly far more thorough than the county website). He also freely answered people’s questions on the post itself, something I hadn’t seen other lawyers do on their websites. After reading the reviews on his service, I decided to contact Mr. Krieger to resolve the problems with my tenants and evict them. He was the best thing happened to me in this ordeal. Any dread I had about the situation was eased from the very first call. Mr. Krieger answered my emails immediately, even the ones I sent very late in the day, and he remained extremely punctual throughout the legal process. He answered all my questions, provided calm and sharp insight, gave excellent advice, and always kept my interests in mind. Mr. Krieger’s assistant, Ms. Assya Thode, also kindly provided prompt help. They both were very compassionate and sensitive to my situation. During the five months he worked on my case, Mr. Krieger offered goal-oriented guidance. Our court procedures took a longer time than I expected because the tenants appealed the case. In court, while the tenant’s lawyer resorted to crude assumptions to discredit my case, Mr. Krieger remained confident and composed. Ultimately, the tenants paid all of the unpaid rent, late fees, attorney’s fees, and had to vacate our home. In the process, I learned not to waste time before going to court in case of any problem with tenants. I also learned that an excellent lawyer like Mr. Krieger is indispensable. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Steven Krieger. Thank you Steven for a stellar job!

Great Attorney

Great attorney: focused, thorough, clear and concise. Made a highly stressful situation a manageable and ultimately a winning experience. Hope I will not have to do it again, but should the situation arise, Steven would be my first call.

Excellent Legal Services!

Recently our family needed the services of an attorney. After much research we selected the office of Steven Krieger Law. From start to finish Mr. Krieger and his staff were great to work with. Calls, emails and questions were always promptly and thoroughly answered. The office staff was extremely professional in all our interactions with them. Their fee schedule was fair and reasonable, and the hours billed were very minimal. Most importantly, the firm was able to recover money owed us due to a landlord issue. Great Assistance on Landlord/Tenant Dispute

Seek Wise Counsel

I contacted Steven's office on a Friday when I found myself in a tight jam with a disgruntled tenant who refused to vacate my property 4 days before the termination of our lease. Needless to say, there was a lot of stress and even more unknowns about next steps going into the weekend. Steven's receptionist / paralegal, Melissa gathered all pertinent information about my situation, asked thoughtful questions to gather the necessary facts. Professional, responsible and reliable

I had a tenant who owes several months' rent and didn't want to move out. That tenant had similar behavior to her previous landlord. Easy to deal with..........

I had worked with Steve and Katrina regarding the default on a promissory note. Steve called me on a Sunday afternoon, minutes after I had sent the email asking for a consult. He explained my options and Katrina did most of the leg work. Though it took some months to get the judgment they kept me up to date on the progress, billing was reasonable and always easy to understand, and I was very pleased in how the handled the matter. Excellent Estate law attorney

In January of 2021 I engaged Steven Krieger Law, PLLC to create a Revocable Living Trust for me, compliant with Virginia law. Because of the Covid pandemic, we were unable to conduct this business in person, however Steven Krieger's firm did an outstanding job creating my Trust online and even filed my revised real estate deed for me with Arlington Land Records in March of 2022. The lawyers I dealt with at Steven Krieger Law were very professional and friendly and the firm's fees were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Steven Krieger Law to anyone needing Estate Law assistance in Northern Virginia.

Honest and Fair Counsel

Over the last 3 years I have contacted Steven Krieger on three different occasions to obtain counsel- twice for tenant-landlord disputes, and once for guidance in establishing a small business. All three times Mr. Krieger gave me expert advice to resolve my questions on my own, without actually employing the services of the firm. I think many people think of lawyers as trying to get as many billable hours as they can, but I feel like in the case of Mr. Krieger, he is interested in helping people seek resolution, whether that involves obtaining a lawyer, or not. I would highly recommend this firm for honest, straightforward, and fair legal services. I will definitely contact Mr. Krieger again if I have legal concerns in the future.

Excellent, honest, diligent, and timely

I had an excellent experience in a co tenant issue. He was able to write an absolutely excellent settlement letter and provided great advice on how to move forward to have a far better living situation. He was honest about the realities of my pursuits, kept my vindictive nature in check, and made concise and clear efforts for my goals. He writes very well and is able to communicate through email in ways that proved to be very convenient.

Really helpful landlord-tenant consultation

I was having multiple problems with my new apartment. I had some knowledge of DC landlord-tenant law, and figured I could handle it largely on my own, if push came to shove. But I had questions and just wanted to be sure I was going about things in exactly the right way. Steven was prompt to respond when I reached out via his website. We had a brief, reasonably-priced, no-strings consultation, and his advice about the process and how to communicate with my landlord was spot-on and helped me quickly reach an amicable agreement. Highly recommend

We are new to the Virginia area and had run into serious issues with a new landlord and a townhome we rented. Steven helped us break a lease and work with the landlord to find an amicable solution without being on the hook for a large sum of money. He was responsive, professional, and clear in what our expectations should be. His correspondence to the landlord was thorough, citing numerous precedents we weren't aware of and didn't know were in our favor. I would highly recommend his law firm to anyone facing problems with landlord/tenant law. It is well worth the reasonable fee he charges.
