Instead of preparing to present my case holistically, she was able to challenge my case in three phases (1) reason for the stop (2) the arrest (3) booking / detainment. Although the judge, in my opinion, was hard on her at times, Ms. Karin kept her poise and would respectfully push back when she felt it was professionally appropriate. Her preparation allowed her cross examination to be direct which ultimately "poked holes" in the respective officer's testimony. Although we lost our "motion to suppress" the reason for the traffic stop (first phase mentioned above), Ms. Karin's cross examination and the video evidence of the arrest (phase 2 mentioned above) provided the judge with enough information to drop all my charges, without requiring us to defend the testimony of the third phase above. Case dismissed!!
